Wishful thinking I suppose. I was looking at the last time we'd thrown a no-hitter today and thought it was fate that one looked like a possibility.

Haha yeah it's hard to resist; I can't completely blame you, plus as an Odalis Fan/D-Backs Fan it's not that bad to me though my fantasy teams certainly would have appreciated the no-hitter.

Jose Contreras has a nice 3.06 ERA, which in case George can't do the math is only a paltry 6.99 less than Jaret Wright!

Yeah, he's been solid so far. Today was his worst outing by far, no matter what the numbers show. He was walking everyone. Had over 35 pitches in the first inning. But he only gave up 3 runs through 5+, and one of those being on a wild pitch and one being on a gay goddamn balk.
But we're up 5-3 going into the 8th, so 'sall good. Twins had FIFTEEN runners on through 6 innings yet only have 3 runs. Awful, awful, awful.
And I got tickets for the game tomorrow. Should be a good time. You want to know how pathetic our attendance is?

Good to see Kolb bounce back and pick it up, even tho he is still having control issues a bit. Motherfucker walked 15 guys in almost 60 innings last year, so of course he has seven walks so far this year.

A lot of people think Kolb's good numbers and smoke-and-mirrors good luck. His k rate is shockingly low for a closer, and he has no off speed pitch at all. If he walks people (like he has in his blown saves this year) then he's little better than a gassed Dave Burba.
