YES. GO SHINGO! Mr. Zero? more like Mr. 12.53 ERA!

The Houston Asstros of the AL, folks!

except we're 16-6 (soon to be 16-7)....9 games over is where Houston wishes they were.

Yeah but this will be three losses in a row.

The AL West road trip curse has doomed your team and you know it!

At least you got to enjoy a fast start!

yeah, but look at our division. it's us against minnesota, again. and we've owned minnesota so far.

our starting pitching won't stay this godly, but our hitting won't stay this abysmal. so, there is hope.

WE NEED ONE RUN GUYS. COME ON. ....fuckin' lead-off walk.

well, a disgusting loss. no other way around it. magnificent 9 inning pitching, but we lose due to non-existant hitting.
ozzie, stop pitching vizcaino every goddamn day. he sucks. it shoulda been hermanson to marte and this game is over.

damnit ozzie, you cost us this game. you bleeping venezuelan bleep. bleep you you bleeping bleephead bleep.

well, we're still in first and 9 over .500

i can't complain. i'm just pissed we lost a game we should have easily won.

could be worse...could be in the NL central and know we have no chance of catching the first place team =p

Just need the wild card spot to get into the playoffs and then anything can happen! :D

oh definitely. very true. i'd take the wildcard spot for us, no questions asked. just get in the playoffs. that's all i ask.

our team so far reminds me of last years dodgers. great pitching, but no offense. doesn't feel too great right now. but i do have the bulls to take away my baseball pain =D

"Halladay was outstanding. I don't care how we've been swinging the bats. He was better than us today," Derek Jeter said. "He's nasty, that's just the bottom line. He's as good as they come.

Thank you Derek! I'm going to feel bad chanting OVER-RATED next time you come to Toronto. What a class act! I wanted to talk to Kid Wonderful, but he's a little busy.

I was watching a few parts of the game tonight and hear Jamie Campbell mention that Arod signed 100 balls after his 10 RBI night and plans to sell them for about $400 each on eBay. Are the money going straight to his pockets?

I wouldn't doubt it. Guy is an asshole.

I'm sorry Joe, I'm sorry Yankee fans, and most of all, I'm sorry to you, Kid. I always believed in your legend, and I had a feeling you wouldn't pull such a Bondish move!

Who the hell comes up with the headlines. Super Cheesy...

Good game tonight, Perez looked more like himself tonight. Cant say im happy about our offense since all we had was 2 HR's and that was it. So many opportunities again, the offense seems to be out of sync. We're not getting the key hits when we need them, but they come easily with the bases empty. Penny gets his 2nd start tommorow night, hopefully he comes out strong.

The guys who gets to write the backpage headlines for the NY tabs have one of the best jobs in the world.

Recent favorites: A-Bysmal and E-Rod (with pics of Kid Wonderful)

I have a bad feeling about this game for the Jays - the yankees are a good team struggling at the plate, coming off an opening tough loss at home to a great pitcher that saw an almost as good effort by their ace go unrewarded and David Bush's bad numbers this year all point to a big Yankee win imo. :\

If it does happen, Godzilla better snap out of his horrible slump with a couple of homers. ;)

EDIT: Fuck matsui why are you sucking SO BADLY now.

All this money George spends on shitty players and he can't find some hotshot lawyer to find a way to void Giambi's contract? The guy can't play.

Good think they took out Wang after 85 for Tom Gordon. God forbid the Yanks win by a run.
Change is needed. Fire the whole god damn coaching staff.

i predict Joe Torre fired by the allstar break. :lol What a horrible organization.

"WHY DID YOU TRADE NICK JOHNSON!?"

Javy Vazquez! Javy Vazquez! My people kept saying Javy Vazquez!"

NEW YORK (AP) -- Baseball commissioner Bud Selig asked players to agree to a 50-game suspension for first-time steroid offenders and a lifetime ban for a third violation under what he called a ``three strikes and you are out approach'' to doping.

:lol Owned!

That was a dumb idea, sending Chulk in. Frasor got them down 1-2-3 with 12 pitches. You really think he was gassed? We threw that game away.

What is it with WGN and being incredible homers? I'm used to hearing it when I watch a Cubs game......the guys in the booth saying "we" but I didn't know the Chi Sox guys were just as bad. At least 4 times this game the guys have said "we" when describing the White Sox.

Hawk is a bigger homer than the Cubs announcers! :lol

see, that's what most people don't realize...they're not "WGN announcers"....they're Sox and Cubs announcers. they call all their games all year long. they're not just national television announcers. they call all 162 sox and cubs games. they are definitely homers. it's just like watching your team play on your local sports station. these are those announcers.

meanwhile. El Duque with another very solid outing. 7 innings, 6 Ks, 3 runs.

and WTF IS THIS? We have offense! we take the lead in the bottom of the 7th with a 3 run rally. woot!
and the cubs are losing. :lol :lol :lol @ wood

You know those cubs "We got Wood" shirts? they should change it to "They got Wood. and he's got bursitis." and sell them at sox games

....and the cubs lose. is kerry wood the highest paid pitcher to be under .500 for his career? he's getting what, 12$ million a year to pitch barely or below .500? you could find someone to do that for a helluva lot less.

Well yeah, I know that. I just haven't seen other local announcers say "we" or "us" as much as the Chicago guys do.

well our teams have been at the forefront of failure for a hundred years. they need to feel attached to their teams =p

it's also funny how little research hawk and DJ do. against the royals, KC sent in a reliever named Cisco. they read his stats when he came in and stuff, like normal...then after he struck out the first two guys he faced, making them look bad, there was this exchange:

"hey dj?....who is this guy?"
"i dunno partner. i sure never heard of him."
"well me either. where did this guy come from? wow"
"that's a good question"

...:lol :lol :lol glad you guys do your homework when we play division opponents.

Nevermind the WGN announcers, I demand Eminem answer for the fan behind home plate who kept slowly doing the chicken motions while talking on his cell phone. :lol

Still less annoying than that old man who does commentary for the Mets games. He sounds like a cranky, slightly confused old baseball player who wandered on set.

ok a couple good sparks in todays game hopefully its the start of something beautiful. im just glad the red sox havent been playing all that well either and its the orioles with the big lead right now. orioles could be trouble though, if they have to they've got the players and money to trade for a pitcher or two.

Anyone want Wood? I can give you Wood. In your fantasy or in real life. Though I may ask something in return. Still, I want to give someone Wood.

Great outing by Brad Penny, 6 innings, No Runs, 4k's and 1 walk. Hopefully his health problems are behind him and he can continue to pitch well throughout the season. Offense was much better tonight, we gots hit in key at bats in the fifth. :D

What in the hell happened to Hideki Matsui? He's down to .247...

Brad Penny had finally hit his stride when the Marlins gave him up for Mota and LoDuca. He's definitely a strong pitcher when healthy.

Damn Ted Lilly was hanging on there but you could tell it was going to fall apart here in the 5th. :\

At least Koskie's bat has come alive today.

OH great, Matsui up with runners on base... should be another strike out for the slumping bastard. :(

EDIT: hah hah A-Rod out by a mile, and yet I can't even enjoy it because it robs Matsui of an RBI I desperately need.
