Hinske!

Damn the Yankee's look ripe for a fall this year. With their bullpen problems and aging roster they have the look of just a 90 win team at best - sure A-Rod or Randy Johnson will have the odd dominating game and they do still have talent to burn but there's just too many older players starting to look it. Here's hoping anyway. ;)

wtf? 3-1, thankful to have Prior back, I turn it off to watch the Pistons/Sixers. Get sucked in towards the end, turn it back... 8 to fucking 3??? AAAAAAAH!!

Damn, I rode Flash Gordon as my fantasy team's unheralded non-closing RP all last year and now he is like the shell of the pitcher he was then.

It's time for Gordon and Quantrill to go. They're completely ineffective and would benefit in the change of scenery. Of course, who would want these two at this point...

You should drop Gordon for new Yankee stud Buddy Groom. :lol

It's crazy there aren't any oriole fans here. They're our division rival, I want them to lose, but their recent streak is just INSANE. Everyone knows about Roberts (no hrs today, two more steals!), but Tejada has hit a HR in 4 straight games, the team has won 8 in a row...and considering that after today, the Jays play 3 straight against them, I'm worried.

sox up 4-0, and Garland well on his way to his fifth victory. today we tied an MLB record that was set in 1900 for consecutive games having the lead at one point. The Sox have held the lead in all of our 25 games this year. nuts.

:lol :lol :lol @ Prior
That slam was sweet. Then he walks two more and gives up another :lol

Nice save for Batista (I am a bit regretting trading him so quickly this year, but I did get David Wright) and a great comeback win for the Jays. Bonus marks for winning a road series against the Yankees and laying the boots to the Yanks bullpen, surely sparking some hilarious articles in the NY papers tomorrow. :D

As a plus for Jays fans, we all knew the Jays had a KILLER schedule to open the year, and it's not over yet (note 50's very smart fear of the Orioles) but considering how much they've played on the road and against their tough divisional rivals I'm VERY happy so far.

Smoltz with another win today. Still isn't getting much run support, but I'll take what we can get. 2 out 3 from the Cards!

For fuck's sake, Prior and Pavano both suck horse balls today and fuck up my whole week for my fantasy team. Good job assholes.

It's grimly apparent to Cincinnati fans that the Reds are exactly like last year's model- poor pitching, too many strikeouts, and an inability to hit with RISP.

:(

Man, I can't believe Garland was sitting in free agency on our fantasy league, just 10 days ago. I'm hitting myself just thinking about it. Given you watch the Sox though, Im not suprised you were the first to notice how he's been pitching. I figured he'd have his good starts and his bad, like he does every year, but it seems he's only having good this year. I'm predicting a huge year for him now :(

Hey any cubs fans in here?

My brewers play the loveable losers this tuesday at miller park. I hate when flatlanders take up our roads. But even though i hate chicago with all my heart, the brewers, cubs, rivalry is awesome. You guys dont know how good if feels to see the look on a cubs an face after they lose a game.

:lol @ the Cubs getting crushed by the no-hitting Astros and having it happen to their best pitcher...good times :D

The cubs will always be the cubs. The lose when they are not supposed to. they win when they are not supposed to either. They are an unpredictible team that always results in failure. That what they get for being in illinois. God i hate Illinois.

O's fan here. Goin' to the game today to watch Rodrigo Lopez go up against the surprising rookie Chacin. Should be a good pitching duel like it was late last year. Hopefully the O's can hand Chacin another tough-luck loss.

Jays will win

Oh yes

The Jays will win

I'm here all cautiously optimistic about the way the Jays have been going, happy with the early 2-0 lead and the scrappy way they got it. Then I remember how incredibly bad Vernon Wells is doing and I have to wonder a) is he ever going to get on track (last year proved he just might not) and b) how fucking cool would it be if Wells got hot and the rest of the surprising Jays kept it up.

Still glad I fleeced my brother before the season started when I traded Wells for Morneau. :lol

Summed up my feelings exactly. Now I'll be cautious until september, no matter how well things go, but I do think that Wells will get on track. Let me give a shout out to my boy Astro Lad for working on this swank Chacin avatar.

fifty, we have an easy schedule because of our suckass division :lol
it's us vs. minnesota....just as it's been the last 4 years :lol

It's been like that for the better part of 2 weeks now. Pisses me off that Tracy once again left Erickson in too long. It's pretty damn certain that past 6 Innings max he's gonna fall apart. Also, Buddy Carlyle hasnt shown he can pitch worth a lick and Tracy keeps using him. Hopefully when Wilson Alvarez is activated Buddy Carlyle gets sent back to triple a.

awesome! new look yankees

"Hideki Matsui is moving to center field for an ailing Bernie Williams. Tony Womack is headed to left, and Robinson Cano is coming up from the minors to play second base every day. Plus, Randy Johnson could wind up on the disabled list because of a stiff groin, putting another young pitcher in the rotation."

hopefully cano and phillips find their way into the starting lineup everyday, and its a shame the yanks didnt trade posada for unit when they had the chance. they'd have 3, good/great young guys playing for them everyday.

After the 12-2 start we have been average at best. I think our pen will work itself out once Gagne gets back in the closer role, moving Yancy back to his setup position. I'm far more concerned about our offense or lack there of. Our corner infield postions have some of these worst offensive production in all of baseball. These should be our power positions but the combination of Valentin, Nakamura, Saenz, and He sucks Choi is pathetic. As whole, this team has struggled mightly scoring runs since the fast start and I fear this might be a continuing trend.

As for Erikson, I would very much like to see him in long relief with the occasional spot start. As our number 5, I hope we get to see Edwin Jackson come up before the break and solidy the staff.

Haha today my favourite line about the Yankees is from SI, one of the writers wondering aloud whether Steinbrenner has realized yet that his DH platoon (with numbers average at best for the position) will make $26 million this year while the best DH in baseball (Big Papi) makes $5.25m. :lol

i hate steinbrenner. this moves stinks of steinasshole. i dont feel like going into a tirade but this is how you say thanks to 15 years of service!? fuck the fucking worthless fuckface. fucking fuck. him and his tampa mafia. fucking fucks. fuck 'em for demolishing the farm system that's gonna take years to rebuild, fuck 'em for for going fot the quick fixes. fuck 'em for his macho-bully attitude. when is hal steinbrenner taking over? i'm not going into a tirade. this i not a tirade. fuck....

That was a pretty sweet catch by Ichiro. This weekend I saw some kid from Oklahoma(i think) make a sweet catch jumping over the fence in foul territory down the right side.

Oh and the Jays are on fire BITCHES!
