Man, what is up with Tino!? He must have stolen some of Giambi's secret stash.

Have you seen Tino recently? I'm getting very suspicious.

The Jones Bros saving Atlanta's ass once again. Hudson has the only other hit aside from them. Pathetic.

You want to see pathetic? Look at the Dodgers offense :lol 9 Hits and only 2 runs. Erickson went the strong 5 he usually goes and in the 6th like clockwork he gave a 2 run homerun. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......................... <Runs away crying> :lol

Tino gone apeshit.

Giambi drives in clutch RBI double to break a tie late in the game.

Robinson Cano cannot stop hitting the ball.

Mo Rivera EXPLODES THE SHIT out of the last A's bat to get the save.

Yankees back to .500.

...Jesus, is that you?

We are pathetic!

Our offense is pathetic. Even though Erickson gave up the 2 Run bomb, I tip my hat to him. He kept us in the game and all our offense could come up with were 2 lousy runs on 9 hits. Erickson should've been out of that inning if it wasnt for Kent bobbling the ball on the double play which gave Chipper the chance to launch the homerun. <Sigh> Oscar Robles is now 1-17 and left 5 men on base going 0-4 today, Nice job Tracy he's defenitely a step up from Mike Edwards who's 9-26 while playing 3rd base for us. Perez is gonna have an MRI monday because of his shoulder is bothering him.

P.S How about those Padres clobbering the Marlins in the final of a 3 game sweep. Looks like they finally got their shit together. =\

D-Backs back in first place where they belong.

It was great because driving around today I had to listen to these two Sunday afternoon national sports radio (the True Time for Quality Broadcasting) LA-based homers talk about "hahaha the West is the Dodgers' division no question, the Giants? pffffbt Are you joking? The Padres are a joke..." then two minutes later "oh wait, we're totally forgetting about the D-Backs, but you can't blame us, who's on that team? Glaus, and uh... Vazkwez? Yeah there's a winner." Eat shit and die morons; enjoy your chokin' Dodgers. Let's see if Gagne can get whatever special medicine he needs to get his ERA under 18.00 this season.

I know Tino can't possibly keep this up, but god damn this streak is impressive. What the fuck at Unit winning a game without a K?

It's nice to see 8 in a row, but I'll feel a little better when we beat someone beyond the A's or Mariners.

They(the Pads) had the kinda series I was hoping we could put together, beating a quality team. Since the fast start, we haven't won one series against a quality opponent. We needed to make a statement this past week but we were completly destroyed by St. Louis and Atlanta just took care of us. Next up is Flordia, which will probably right the ship against us, to be immediatly followed by the Angles.

The Pads could be a real scary in the west team if they can continue to scratch a few runs on the board. Their staff is looking pretty solid 1-5 and I think they have one of the best pitchers in the league in Peavy.

In contrast, our team ERA is nearing 5.00 and our offensive with the exception of a few explosive games has become inconsistant at best. As for Robles, I'm clueless as to how he finds his way into the lineup.

These losses are really starting to wear on me. Of all my major sports teams, I take the Dodger losses the hardest.

:lol :lol :lol!

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!

.500! WOO! Haters owned!

It took an eight game win streak for the Yankees to make it to .500, 4th place, and be 5.5 games out of first.

I don't think the haters are owned just quite yet.

As I just said on IRC, we lost two series to the DRays... I am allowed to celebrate just a bit.

And at this pace, being 5.5 out of first place probably isn't that bad.

A-Rod and Tino are tied for the MLB lead in homeruns with 12 a piece. Awesome. :lol

my man jon garland 8-0. Buehrle 7-1.

tomorrow we get the flubs. I just wish we had either Buehrle or Garland going against you guys. Garcia/Contreras/Duque has me a bit worried. I fear we'll only win each game by an average of 2 runs instead of 5.

Hell, all we have to do is not pitch to D-Lee and we'll shut you out.

Pads the best team in baseball? .. I think so.*

They just swept the two best teams in the east. The braves ARE going to win the east and the marlins the wild card. And the padres spanked them. Imagine what will happen when Woody Williams gets back in the rotation and Giles and Nevin start hitting consistently.

*seriously, there is no way the white sox can keep this up all year.

Well, the Yankees are looking kinda scary now that they remember what sport they're playing. Maybe the Pads are just the best team in the NL. That'll be fine by me.

and somehow the Pads can? :lol :lol :lol :lol

keep telling yourself that. 15 games ago people said the sox would fall as soon as they played teams out of their division, yet we still own the best record in baseball at 29-12.

we're for real, don't kid yourself.

They're delusional.

This year's white sox are doing WAY better than they should be this season. On the other hand many people picked the Padres to do real damage this year. At the end of the season we'll see that the White Sox will fall to their expected 2nd or 3rd place in the central while the Pads will sit in first drinking pina coladas.

ok then, put your money where your mouth is. $20

Sox come in first and Pads don't, you owe me $20. Pads come in first and the Sox don't, you get $20.
If both teams fall, we call it even.

You game? Or are you all talk?

Pass.

What's up with Houston? 3 errors already? You guys aren't supposed to lose to the Diamondbacks. Especially with Clemens on the mound. Gosh!

pfft......the Cubs will have a better record than the padres and white sox combined.

:lol well me and you have the bet on who will have the better record(sox/cubs) at the end of the year. i'm glad i made that one =p

i'm really not looking forward to this series though. we NEED to win tomorrow against Maddux for me to feel comfortable. if we lose tomorrow and have zambrano and prior to look forward to....yikes.

and how fucking stupid that the game tomorrow starts at 1. not like people have jobs or anything.

I wonder. Why so defensive about a team with the best record in baseball. Obviously because you're nervous being at the top.

Your team and the Cubs both get jittery at the top.

I have no doubt the White Sox will collapse.. they have no idea how to avoid it.

i'm only defensive against assholes that don't know how to put up or shut up.

I have no doubt the White Sox will collapse

then make the fucking bet you pussy. otherwise, just shut up. if you're not man enough to back up your words, just be quiet.

if you're so sure, make it count. let's just bet $20 that the sox end the year in first. if you don't agree to this, you're not so sure are you now?
yeah, that's what i thought.

Damn, the interleague matchups have had me humming and hawing for hours over setting my fantasy roster. Alex Rios or Tino Martinez - who gets the utility slot?!?

Hah.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays at Florida Marlins
Hideo Nomo 2-3, 6.26era
Al Leiter 1-4, 6.06 era

Shit, unless the over/under is set at 20 runs I have to get to a lottery terminal and throw some money down on over. :lol Except for the pesky interleague factor meaning that maybe the batters unfamiliarity will tilt the contest in favour of the pitchers. Ok, maybe not in this case. ;)

Just look to see if you need HRs or speed more, and then pick the one who helps you out the most....and tonight, seeing as how Pedro is facing the Yankees, Rios is the obvious start.

This upcoming homestand should be fun. 3 games against the Nats, 3 against the Bosox, and 3 against the Twins. Gotta say it'll be quite a test.

Note to jays fans in Toronto: If you come to one game this year, come to tuesday's game against the Bosox. $2 500 level seats!

you are certifiable if you think the sox are gonna collpase in that division. nutso.

pedro pitches sunday.

What the hell is going on with Keith Foulke? Bastard has a 7 ERA. As much as I hate the Sox, gotta hand it to Theo for the Miller and Clement pickups. He's making Cashman his bitch.

Garcia looked awesome today. What a nice commanding win.

SOX WIN!!

yes, yes he did. and i love podsednik so much. you just know he's gonna go for a second and are just waiting for him to take off.

also, i think this was the most sox fans ever at wrigley. or at least today they were the loudest they've ever been. The PAULY chants were ridiculously loud, and so were the LETS GO WHITE SOX chants.

good stuff. tomorrow i hope we rattle zambrano early. get him mad at himself and the umps and let him get wild or bitch at the umps and get tossed.

Battle Of New York, Round 1:

Mets OWNED.
Yanks win, 5-2.

WTF...Kevin Brown pitches a good game - again. Gordon almost fucked it up, but hangs tough and fans 2. Mo's looking pretty good again, too. Finally, maybe Hideki Matsui's waking up from his slump? :o

2,000th post bitches.

yankees go on a sick tear of wins and are still tied for 3rd :lol

it'd be really amazing if they continue their streak of 100 win seasons.

I hate this team! We are quickly spiraling into the abyss of the NL West. For the past month every pitcher we have faced ends up looking like freaking Cy Young.

If there was a positive to this game, I hope it finally pushes Tracy to bench Erickson and bring up someone from AAA.
