That was stupid. A sidearming pitcher throws a fastball RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE to Ichiro Suzuki with a righty on deck? What, did Japan promise to ease economic sanctions or something?

And first base open with 2 outs. WTF..

Their manager should win a Emmy for doing a great Davey Johnson impression.

Another steal? OMG the Korean economy is going to get such a boost now.

... I find it hard to believe Ichiro would be the leader of the Japanese team. He's such an ass on the Mariners to the point half his teammates are sick of his attitude/clubhouse was toxic last year. I never got a leadership vibe from him, if anything he seems to be a 24-and-1 guy.

you guys are babies stop crying about the time
this is the best game in a long time

i cannot believe they didnt walk ichiro. poor lim he pitched well until then.

why were the commentators calling him such a nice guy? i also heard what you say about his teammates hating him. although that seems like bullshit considering he's the only good player on that team.

Am I crazy if I think this is one of the most well-played games I've seen in a while? There have been some curious managing moves but the play is top-notch..

Was that confirmed? It always seemed to me like he was being used as a scapegoat for the awful M's season.

Is not his fault that they gave Silva a 4 year guaranteed contract.

What? Who's crying, we're analyzing what we deem as mistakes. Stop overreacting.

... I take it you don't know who the ESPN commentators are.

Both teams have been making crazy plays. It really shows how far both of their leagues have come.

Ichiro had to save Japan from the massive shame of losing the championship to Korea.

Would have been funny to watch, oh well.

Leadoff walk for Korea.

Okay calling him an ass is too strong but he is a 24-and-1 guy. Other M's fans/commentators have said this.

Holy crap Darvish probably tore his labrum, rotator cuff, and elbow tendon already. He's pitching on ... what's the Japanese equivalent of "grit"?

guritto

Ichiro is bigger than life in Japan. Doesn't matter that he's a "24-and-1" guy, which I can totally see.

game tying hr, anyone? darvish should be pretty good once he matures as a pitcher. and just as i write that, jon miller says the same thing.

is that Andruw Jones up at-bat?

well congrats to Japan. The US still has the best players though, kinda wish they would send them too.
