Prepare for a season of humiliating and agonizing torment at hands of the three killers from South Beach.

Lebron James: "Oh, you've gotta have a traditional PG." STFU! Point forward. He's gotta handle the ball in transition or when pushing the tempo. His iso is garbage, but everything else works. He's gonna develop a sick post game too. Dude's gonna be using cheat codes. If he stops with the bullshit, long-rage, contested jumpers, he'll be MVP. Oh shit! Did I say MVP? M-V-fucking-P. No triple-double though.

Dwyane Wade: "B-b-but he can't play off the ball." GTFO! Will play awesome off the ball, although I think he should handle the ball in the half-court. He's much better at creating there than Lebron, and would allow Lebron to dive down for a good post position. Oh yeah, his 3 point shot is only gonna get wetter.

Chris Bosh: "Dude's soft and will get bullied on the boards." Bitch please! He's gonna be our main offensive weapon. I don't know if he'll be the high scorer on any given night, but I see him putting up the better average on the season. He'll definitely average 10+ boards again. His jumper is so sweet. Would never know it since the Raps are never on tv. He's gonna be a problem for a lot of teams, because no way they don't double Wade or Bron.

--- The Crew ---
Mike Miller: Broken thumb sucks, but he'll be back in time to get his stroke working. Dude is scrappy as hell, and does a bit of everything for us. His jumper wasn't falling all that well in preseason, but he rebounds and passes well. When he's healthy, we are gonzo good.

Udonis Haslem: He'll play a lot of center, and good thing. He hasn't really shown it a lot, but he's working great on the pnr with Bron. His jumper is gonna be crucial when Bosh sits, and his rebounding is great as always. The 20 minute double-double off the bench.

Joel Anthony: Dude is a liability on offense, but can actually score if he's aggressive enough. He's always open :lol and if he would just finish with a dunk rather than the soft layins, he'd be a sure option. He showed he can rebound when he's playing controlled, so we'll see. I like him anyway for his blocking and potential. He's quick enough Bron should make some use of him.

Mario Chalmers: More athletic than Arroyo, and a better 3pt shooter. But he makes more turnovers. He's played smart this preseason, so he might be closer to rookier form than sophmore form. That's not bad. His defense is better too. I'd rather he start with Bron because the PG is a redundant position with him on the court. All the PG needs to do is push the ball up the court, then hand it off to Bron or Wade and knock down the open 3. Rio is better for that.

Carlos Arroyo: Reggaeton is the better PG, but we don't need that starting. He's a good facilitator, doesn't turn the ball over, and has a good midrange jumper. He should be on the court whenever Lebron sits.

James Jones: I'm not a fan of his defense, but his stroke was better than Mike's in preseason. He'll need to carry the load anyway with Miller down.

Eddie House: Gonna be important now too. His shot is probably better, but Jones gives us more size. Neither are a great replacement for Miller though, since he rebounds and plays defense well. Jones is better than House in that regard, but I see House in for the big shots.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas: I wouldn't mind seeing him get more burn than Anthony, but he's so doggone slow it's hard to ignore. His rebounding is priceless on both ends though. It's nice to have him in the rotation. I hope he gets his ring.

Dexter Pittman: The next breakout center is this man, right here. If his conditioning continues to improve, he is gonna be a beast. Good footwork and he's not afraid to bang.

Juwan Howard: Not doing bad for his age at all. I assume he's there for leadership and to check off another box on Riley's bucket list. I'm not complaining. He's another set of fouls at worst.

Jamaal Magloire: Not sure why other than leadership, thuganomics and the franchise standing by players. He's gonna be the last guy off the bench.

Jerry Stackhouse: Really? I'm not sure why we would need him, but if he's gonna play like the old Stack, then good news. If he's gonna like the the old...elderly Stack...then we shoulda kept Butler or Beverly.

---

Kinda disappointed we let Bev and Butler go, but whatever. Beverly coulda been our Tyronn Lue. Brought in to harass and hope he develops some sort of perimeter game. We might have bought Butler's loyalty. He couldn't be 100% this season anyway, so after the retirement celebration, he can join the squad in time for ring night. :D It's gonna be an awesome season. PEACE.
“No, I can’t change my game dramatically and I don’t think he can either,” LeBron said. “It doesn’t make any sense to do that. I’m not going to.” He paused. “I’d just be a role player at that point.”

The future of New Orleans' NBA franchise could again be uncertain.

If the Hornets do not average crowds of at least 14,213 for the next 13 games at the New Orleans Arena, the franchise can opt out of its current lease agreement with the state, according to Doug Thornton, vice president of SMG, the company that manages the Arena and the Superdome.

Despite a franchise-record start, the Hornets have experienced a decline in attendance. This season, attendance has dipped to an average of 14,214 over the first eight games, which ranks 25th in the 30-team league. Last season, the Hornets averaged 15,072 for 42 home dates. The New Orleans Arena seats 17,188 for NBA games.

The benchmark is derived from averages of the previous season and the first half of the current season, which runs through Jan. 31. After Jan. 31, the Hornets and state will determine their remaining average based on projected totals.

"From a team perspective, we believe we have a compelling product that deserves to be playing in a full building, '' Hornets President Hugh Weber said Sunday after a crucial game against the San Antonio Spurs, which drew 12,449. "As a staff, we're working so that becomes more of the common as opposed to the exception.
A part of me is sad for New Orleans fans.

The other part of me is like lol

I mostly think, "This is what you get for making a deal with the devil." George Shinn is still in control and doesn't give a fuck about your community.

There's a crazy recession going on. Of course ticket sales are down.

It would probably help if you'd give Chris Paul legitimate help and make a powerful team in the Western Conference...but that ship sailed already.

Thats got nothing to do with it really. Even when they were in the playoffs they couldn't get fans in the seats.

Hell, Charlotte even managed to fill up their stadium during a sweep.

Paul has decent help, at some point it has to be his fault if they can't win.

Winning doesn't necessarily mean fans in the seats.

Right, because THAT'S why people aren't showing up.

There's a crazy recession going on in OKC too.

And Portland.

And...

Harrison Barnes always reminded me of Evan Turner. And we saw how that turned out.

DY was on the Turner bandwagon, too :lol

So it's Deron's fault that Jazz can't win?

This is the thread where we write off guys after one year.

I mean, Aaron Brooks's rookie year wasn't all that impressive but now he's better than Rose!

And Okafor? BEAST FROM DAY ONE

Of course, was talking about the notion that Paul never gets any help.

No it's Deron's fault the Jazz do win.

That must have been some other team that got embarrassed and swept by the Lakers last year.

Guys usually show signs of legit NBA talent if they're legit NBA players. It was obvious from watching Evan Turner (and now Harrison Barnes) play that they don't have the athleticism or skills to be any better than role players in the NBA.

Knicks-Age, we're above .500 at the start of December. Let's see what we can do by the end of the month!

Loving the chemistry between Felton and Amare. We need to play better at the Garden though, yesterday was a start.

Also, Landry Fields, steal of the draft. :D

If you actually watched the game at all, what did you think of Zeller and Henson?

They averaged higher numbers last year than they are this year. Are you telling me last years economy was better than today's?

Oregon has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. And yet, 122 consecutive sellouts. Outside of the Warriors, no other team has faced as much adversity the past couple of seasons, either.

That was my point.

OKC and Portland are still packing in the fans so this notion that bu-bu-bu-but teh economy is bullshit, imo.

I had not seen that video before, amazing, loved it.

That said I hope Lebron puts 50 on Cleveland tomorrow.
I hope he does, too, and Cleveland walks away with the win.

Then, I would also love for ESPN to come out with an article stating that Lebron has no help.

Jonny Flynn to return Monday at New York. I'm excited, not because Flynn is good (he wasn't last season), but because Rambis's excuses for the team's play are dwindling.

I should mention that OKC has been one of the least-affected cities in the recession.

Oil and gas industry + low cost of living + lots of entrepreneurial types moving here.

It's really not surprising that New Orleans is struggling to support the Hornets that much, they're a relatively small city with a niche economy (largely tourism with some offshore stuff as well), and the Hornets are a recent arrival. In a way, it probably hurt the Hornets that the Saints are doing so well, because everyone's $$$ and attention is focused there, even if they're playing better than expected.
