Wow, Fall of Cybertron looks infinitely better than War for Cybertron. All I remember from the first game is a really ugly mix of grey, purple, and dat UE3 bloom.

I'm running through Darkroot Garden and Basin right now. Place is gorgeous, I really like tranquil forest scenes.

yes, Eyefinity/Surround shots never look that great unless you see the entire pic at once. Plus GW2 isn't the best looking game. Really uneven, some parts of GW2 look amazing, others really bad.

Dark Souls is a lot like that actually, some textures just blow you away. And then you pan the camera and you see some horrible muddy textures.

I've said it before, but it doesn't make sense. You can say that its a console, so know one is going to notice those textures when you are rendering at low resolution, then upscaling, then adding in that garbage DOF filter on top of that.
But if that's the case, then why even spend the time creating some of those amazing textures. It just doesn't make sense.

So, both eye-candy and gameplay wise... is it worth it? Does Grimlock talk in his stupid(ly awesome) voice like in the original cartoon? 60fps or framelocked?

I'd say it's a marked improvement over the first game in both of those categories. The combination of the art, music, and VA make it pretty much a TF fanservice orgasm =P. I haven't heard or seen Grimlock yet, but his whereabouts are a bit of a plot-mystery atm, after a few missions. 60 fps, no real graphical settings other than Low, Medium, High, and Extra, along with res/fullscreen/vsync, so it's at least half a step above Darksiders 2 in that regard ;)
