All these images make me want to get Sleeping Dogs and Dark Souls so badly ;_;
you should get both, sd can last you around 20 hours and dark souls much, much longer.
isnt any other big hitters coming for a while yet anyway, doit
Thanks for the ACB spoiler
I remember that mansion from AC2, only it didn't have cars :/
God damn, I wish I could get AA looking like that
After having played BF3 pretty regularly for the 360 (since launch), for some reason BF3 on ultra doesn't look as mind-blowingly good as I thought it might.
Kudos to DICE for optimizing the engine so well for consoles (I admittedly hadn't played the 360 version -- for which I downloaded the HD textures -- in a long time before playing the PC version for the first time yesterday), or are there some ENB-like tweaks that I could use?
Everything is on ultra and the one thing I can say is that the FPS is buttery smooth. It's incredible how fluid it is. The flare from the lights seems to be much improved as well, but that's about where it ends.
Man... this game is a looker! Not technically on par with Sleeping Dog or even Dark Souls, but it has incredible vistas at 60fps!
DX11 doesn't provides you with any immediate graphical features apart from tessellated models, it'll provide you better performance though.This post is insane. The amount of stuff missing from the 360 version and playing the PC version for the first time, it's REALLY mind blowing. And I'm not even on DX11.
The lack of AA in the 360 version is enough for me to not play it anymore.
That's what he's saying. He meant that it doesn't even look as good as Dark Souls which is bad looking already.WAT!? Darks Souls doesnt have much of anything going on other than some decent gothic architecture and hint of realism with the look of its armor. Love the game to death but its not a looker.
kind of hard to find a good video comparison that doesnt shrink the video down to a point where comparisons are basically impossible; but this one does help show missing lighting and particle effects. look at explosions, smoke, embers in the air and to a lesser extent tracer fire.DX11 doesn't provides you with any immediate graphical features apart from tessellated models, it'll provide you better performance though.
And Mind blowing? Can you list those things? better textures, higher quality post processing (although the PS3 version is close to PC than 360 in this regard) and less aggressive LOD? yes, but what else? I can't recall any effect actually "missing" in the console version compared to PC? Image quality and higher framerate is a given for any game on PC anyways, also consider most people play console games from a distance where aliasing becomes much less of an issue.
I've always thought the difference between console and PC version of Battlefield 3 was made out to be a lot more than what it actually is, the gap is much larger in case of something like Crysis 2 or Metro 2033 where it's even larger and you have features that are actually omitted in the console version when compared to the PC counterpart.

Finally got this game. Not the best settings, though

I've only barely started it, so I can't really tell. It seems promising I think. And it's definitely really pretty.Man From Atlantis, you need some SSAA on those screenshots.
Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav looks nice. How's the game in general?
