Thanks, but I'm pretty happy with my settings.

I just wish that half my screenshots didn't glitch out into some hot pink mess because of incompatibility with the in-game post-processing...

Max Payne 3 in motion maxed out on PC is absolutely one of the best looking games I played this year, by quite a margin.

Yeap, my 2nd playthrough didn't reach past chapter 2 because of :

a) unskippable...
b) ...migraine inducing...
c) ...written by a drunk 10 year old story...

- cutscenes.

edit : Now Spec Ops on the other hand, while I'll definitely agree with anyone who claims that MP3 has much better core mechanics I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy Spec Ops infinitely more just due to the story not being some throw away trash like it is in MP3. Honestly, I've never felt more disdain towards the main character in any game than I had in MP3.

Well I played it on PS3 (didn't have internet at the time so I couldn't buy the game on Steam). When it drops to $4.99 I'll try it for PC.

This is true, it's sad that those screens kinda ruin the magic of it. There were some excellent ones recently though.

The heavy use of high noise normal maps and terrible lighting makes MP3 look really terrible, visually, but it's quite detailed.

Looks almost 2D as there is no way to gauge depth in any of the shot's I've seen of it.

You're right. Really sorry about that. Don't know why I didn't catch that. I kinda thought the crowd was a little warped in the shot, but I didn't check a different resolution to make sure. My eyes got fooled...

I don't know, doesn't seem that bad to me, other than the shader/texture aliasing as noted (which gets surprisingly bad in some sections, ESPECIALLY the flashback ones).

Surprisingly, not as shit as I was expecting. It's not great and it feels more like a community game than a proper, published title (with a few little niggly things that shouldn't have made it to the final game) but I'm luckily not getting any of the problems others have reported. Just lucky, I guess.

I replay it often enough, but if you're talking about RE5, it goes on sale a lot, but 10 is worth it IMO.

I'm beginning to wish I had bought it too now. It's probably the next best thing to a decent port of RE4 we're ever likely to see on PC.

I hope it comes up again before the sale is over.

Same, although it was only a discount of only $3 or so. I'm guessing it'll come up in the last day as one of the more popular ones.

FWIW, I've heard the best way to play RE4 on PC is by firing up the Wii version in Dolphin.
