Yeah I usually just go for ingame AA if it's adequate or if it's an older game where I can just crank up the AA without having to worry over performance.
With that said, I never use the enhance setting since it only gives me issues. If you want to add your own AA like you said with sgssaa then you need to have the setting set to override and when you do that you're overriding all the ingame settings hence the need for a value for MSAA as well.
- use correct AA bits for dx9 mode
- turn off behavior flags
- set AA to override
- set AA setting to desired/compatible AA for your current bits
- Fiddle with lod bias if using sgssaa ( not always needed )
That's pretty much what I do whenever I force AA via inspector.
Thanks for the tips. That's pretty much exactly what I do too. I'm relatively new to that all though, as I've just recently built myself a new PC.
One thing I still have no clue about is whether to use MSAA or the corresponding CSAA (I own an NVidia GPU).

It's Aela, one of the members of the "companions" faction. You come in contact with her quite early in the game.Who is that in the pics anyway?
Nice Batman shots, x3sphere. Please remember to put in what mode is it runing, DX9 or DX11. Really helpful for the people who are interested in the game but doesn't have it yet.Batman AC
