Here's the last for tonight. I've got screens from Mass Effect 1 and 3, Sonic Generations, Trine 2, NFS:HP, Max Payne 3, and Rayman Origins to post later, assuming there is interest (I don't want to flood the thread unnecessarily).

Guild Wars 2 Supersampled
Are you actually able to play like this or do you just enable supersampling for screenshots?

I get steady 60fps (30+ in WvWvW and big Events) but with supersampling it goes down by like 40fps...
Dont even know at what resolution it could be rendering, running the game in a 2720x1536 resolution and downsampling myself does not seem to have that much of a impact (still enough not to do it though).

Just why, why is there no AA option ;_;

I'm actually playing with it. I'm running an i7 920 @ 3.8Ghz along with a GTX 680. My framerate is far from buttery smooth (varies between 40 and 80ish), but it's very playable for an MMO. I haven't tried WvW yet, but I bet it would get me to 30 or below.

I'm hoping the performance gets better with future patches and drivers.

FYI, the new Nvidia drivers with the guild wars 2 ambient occlusion bits? It's completely useless! Still doesn't fix the issue with it being incompatible with reflections or supersampling, plus the effect is so incredibly weak and subtle you can't even tell it's doing anything.

The CS:GO bits, on the other hand, are pretty nice... both with CS:GO and Guild Wars 2. Funny how that works out. Better than the Demigod one, too, since it's considerably less noisy (probably because it is really heavily filtered).

Here, have a screenie:

There's no AA option in GW2? What the hell? Why would they do that?!

You can still force it though, right?
The game has FXAA and an option for supersampling, but that's it. It does allow dll injection if you care to go that route.

If someone finds good AA bits for it, lemme know!

Like Zyrusticae said there is only FXAA.

Forcing AA does not work as of jet...

I have absolutely no idea why any developer would do that, I mean it is nice that the game supports supersampling out of the box but still...
I just installed SMAAInjector but im not sure if there is any noticable difference at all and ANet has been very ban-friendly so I might remove it again if the difference still seems neglectable after a few hours.

GW2 looks really dated, but the style is good.

I agree but it's weird, 12 months ago I remember finding the preview-footage looking awesome and then the game ( not say it is the case, but it feels like it ) gradually looked worse and worse for each clip/screenshot released.

An OC'd 670 is needed to run this game at max settings period? Or max with steady 60fps? I can deal w/ a dip into the 50s, high 40s (First gaming PC; I've never seen a steady 60fps).

I have a 570 Twin Frozr (if anyone wants to tell me what that designation means, I'd be very grateful) and I was surprised -- after hearing about how crazy BF3s graphics were -- to see it max out everything and stay in the 50s throughout.

I definitely plan on upgrading around the time 1313 comes out (dual 670s if I can swing it).

Wasn't able to swing an almost 100% steady 60fps until I OC'd. Of course this is with everything maxed out, including DX11 (tesselation, etc) maxed, high resolution textures, and MSAA maxed out too. Just turning MSAA down should greatly increase the framerate.

With my 570 i played Crysis 2 with Maldo HD (texture mod) at 60fps through all the game (with some dip when the
big aliens shot me with their cannon
right in the face and when the game was still loading the asset of a new level).

Was this before the DX11 patch? Even a stock 670 struggles with maintaining a constant 60fps:

With DX11, yes.
Mainly because Maldo did an optimization job with is mod, so you have high quality texture (way better then the high resolution pack) and a better optimized game.
The only thing that wasn't on the max setting was the SSAO, and I disabled the particle shadows because it's a performance killer ("leave disabled until 2013" lol).

Nice GW2 screens decyx. I'll have to give OGSSAA + SMAA a try tonight.
I'm not sure it's actually working.

At least, I've been completely unable to get it working... like, at all. Not even MSAA.

If there's something I'm missing, seriously, I'm all ears! This is driving me bonkers.

amazing Skyrim shots there :o

Agreed with too many shots, BUT, they are awesome nonetheless.

Stop taking so many pictures of my digital waifu.

dear tankshell, thanks for the skyrim shots, now how do I do that?

Tankshell, what videocard are you using and what kind of fps do you get?
Nice screens!

Glad you liked them guys! I have posted in the Skyrim mod discussion thread all the details about my setup rather than clog up this thread with them:

btw your shots are ruined by the horrible aliasing and compression.

stop it until you fix it, seriously. they are an eyesore.

Hi Cuban Legend, I am having to play without any AA at all in order to keep my FPS high enough to enjoy the game, hence the aliasing/jaggies in some places... although I think they still look pretty good, certainly not an "eyesore"... but then maybe I just don't have very high standards. :)

Am not sure what you mean by the "compression"... are you referring to the jpeg compression? I set the quality to 90% (so only 10% compression) so as not to introduce too many artifacts whilst still retaining a smallish filesize.

FINALLY got a decent outfit for my Asura. It was incredibly tiresome wearing that horribly bland set of chainmail for 30 levels!

Zojja seems a little less enthused...

Really? I've toggled it off an on a couple times to make sure and it appears to be working fine for me. Judging by the amount of people in this thread who haven't been able to get it to work, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
