Probably because it ends up being 6pm in Germany and 5pm in Portugal when the game is on.

We are not doing this. The only way i see Germany winning this game is if they stay focused and easily do not get irritated by the national ballet antics of the Portuguese squad.

Oh don't get me wrong. I have no doubt Germany will beat Portugal. Its just that the Portuguese have a way of derailing the focus of their opponents by mostly acting. That's where the danger lies.

I'm pretty sure Paulo Bento would start with Ronaldo even if he had two broken legs.
So this week I'll be able to watch a grand total of two games after not missing a single game last week. I'll watch Spain - Chile and Uruguay - England. Sadly I'm at work during the early evening games and I can't allow myself to watch the midnight games and go to bed late. Gladly I'll be missing todays games and friday till sunday because of Pearl Jam and a festival. That's a better reason than work

I cheer for Germany because I've cheered for them since I was 9 (98 world cup) and because my home country, Kosovo does not have a team in Fifa. Even if Kosovo did, I'd cheer for them equally.
I really believe Germany has some really good/strong players and I guess i do not have the pleasure of following German football politics sine I live in Canada but judging mostly on player quality, I think they have a really good chance to win this.
Klopp would be perfect. Dortmund should let him go. For the sake of Germany.

Have always cheered Germany in the World Cup since the first one I can remember (that I watched) which was Italia 1990, Lothar Matthaus was brilliant in that tournament.
I do remember collecting panini stickers for the Mexico 86 World Cup but that is all.
