Call me when he has 15 WC goals like my man.

has it ever been mentioned why they don't have small cameras on the inner side of the top of the goal post that point straight down? Where they are placed to not interfere with a potential shot, but can point straight down and can clearly show the ball is across.
anyway found a clearer version of your pic.
edit- although yours might show the ball even alittle further, I can't tell.
klose needs to get a hatrick and get pie ronaldo off the list
Does any have a gif of that churumbela from Di Maria? That move where he crossed his leg through the back and hit the ball. I dont know what that move is called I only know it as "la churumbela".
Because what good would those cameras be if the keepers hand or body is over the ball?

That ones the Hawkeye system, the GoalControl system they are using appears to be very similar though... this explains it pretty well... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBxztIYvlkQ
There were others that used magnetic chips and such in the ball but these were the only two approved. I think the English Premier league is using the hawk-eye system.

Hats off to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Debut match in the World Cup their nerves must of been out control. They concede that early goal and so many teams would have fallen apart after that. Now obviously we haven't seen Iran and Nigeria play but if Bosnia can work out some kinks and build on this performance they could advance.
My thoughts from the weekend:
-England are complete shit. A few bright spots but overall it's classic England failing miserably. They desperately need a foreign manager with balls who will tell what remains of the golden generation to fuck off, by 2018 only Wayne will be around or so, but watch him still get picked.
- Ivory Coast should finally get out of the group stage, I hope Japan continue to fight on and get out.
- Ecuador are done after that loss, put a fork in em.

Jacobo Ríos-Capapé, a 56-year old architect and ex-referee from Valencia, took part in a contest organized by Spanish fuel company, Cespa. Somehow divining the 5-1 scoreline weeks in advance, Ríos-Capapé placed his entry for the match alongside 70,000 other participants and 120,000 entries with the hopes of winning one of Cespa's grand prizes, $135,000 worth of free gasoline.
As it turns out, Ríos-Capapé was the only participant in the entire country to guess such a brutal scoreline. The entire country. So convinced was Spain of their dominance that literally only one person predicted a 5-1 scoreline when they could have entered multiple times with different scorelines.
