It's great, don't get me wrong. But it feels a little repetitive at best.
So I presume you have played it? Because I believe what they showed us were demo's where they were doing pretty random stuff.

I don't want GAMES GAMES GAMES. I want GAMES THAT APPEAL TO ME (x3).
Am I being unfair? Absolutely. .

The gameplay did look like it was missing something but the game still has time
Some of these comments like sunset overdrive being the same as crackdown and "cgi, cgi" make it hard to not believe there is a strong anti-MS bias out there.
I really was hoping for a Gears cg trailer at least..
So many E3 conferences are full of boring content. I give MS a lot of credit for cutting all that out and just showing off games.
Some of them were just the typical CG bullshit trailers we're used to, but at least they didn't have 5-7 minutes of talk up from someone with no personality beforehand.
Were there any 360 announcements?
No price drops?
What did you feel it was missing?

Sunset Overdrive looks like it could be game of the year, and possibly even game of the generation thus far.
since I was never one of the "omg, everything must be games 24/7" type of folks, I actually kinda wish some new system/OS features were announced/detailed. Even if not directly at the conference, at least on news.xbox.com somewhere. Things like the retail devkits, bringing back digital game features, any xbox live improvements, etc.

That was a really good conference I am looking forward to scale bound. However should I try the original phantom dust or had it aged poorly? Also did they have a date on crackdown or are we looking at late 2015?

With all due respect, the CG trailers aren't really games (by which most people mean gameplay). They're promises of games.
You're gonna love the Sunset Overdrive trailer. It's great. The Halo Collection is pretty amazing as well. ntkrnl really hurt anything being a surprise, though.
Crackdown was announced, there was lots of CG. I thought it was a good presser, but the leaks hurt them something fierce. Without those, it would have been a much better presser. As it stands, it felt relatively safe with no real bombs.
Oh and there's some spectacular DLC for Dead Rising 3.
Well paced conference with some nice nods like Playdeads new game and Ori and The Blind Forest.
If you read the leaks on this forum, you were never really shocked. It was the spoiler effect in full force. It was boring for me.

That's not how it works. Them not doing stuff they shouldn't in the first place doesn't grant them points.
They are just a "we are developing this game buy we can't show it yet", Crackdown CG trailer for me was enough proof that they are doing it.
Besides, E3 has always been a CG trailer festival, I don't understand why is everyone so upset, a lo of companies sell their games basically on CG trailers, and has been like that for the past 15 years...
Rare didn't show anything. :-(
I think this is going on way too much.
Just because this years is better than the previous 3 which were littered with a ton of Kinect footage (god, remember when people were eating up the Future Soldier voice stuff) doesn't mean the conference was good.
Was it paced well? sure
Were there games shown? yes
IMO was there enough next gen gameplay to warrant giving them a good grade? Not to me.
I give them a 7 if it has to be a number grade.

Well that was dull..
Personally the most curious thing about the MS conference for me was the fact that they appeared to be circling the wagons. They seemed to make almost no attempt at trying to entice potential Xbone owners to 'Jump In' at the new price point but rather just maintain their current direction..., which hasn't been that great thus far for a variety of reasons.
For example the die hard HALO fans will lap up the Master Chief collection..., but weren't the HALO fans already onboard for the Xbone? It just felt as though they were preaching to the converted.
Especially with the whole '100 classic MP maps for you to play' and access to the HALO 5 MP beta. While I realize that the HALO 5 MP beta will be a short term thing it still feels like "here's all the multiplayer that you could ever want and/or need..., now here is some more multiplayer".
In saying that I thought that their conference was solid but it felt like it was the work of a company securely in the driving seat with a commanding market share rather than a company that has the huge task of playing catch up with a competitor with all the momentum.
I'm not sure that Rare are even showing signs of life never mind a new project.
