They've basically been begging and pleading for the ACC to bail them out of the AAC hell.
And I must say as bad as this year ended up being overall for the ACC (in basketball), it would be super fucking embarrassing for the B1G if the SEC wins yet another basketball title before the B1G wins one. That alleged B1G-SEC intersport rivalry is looking mighty one-sided at the moment

The reason is money. It was this or you'd be watching the tournament on ESPN. To compete with that money, and because the NCAA wanted EVERY game to be aired live, CBS had to partner with Turner to bid on the tournament. As part of the deal, TBS occasionally gets a Final Four/Final. This year, just the final four.
Yep, there is BAD BLOOD between UConn and BC going back to the Big East and when BC was one of the defectors to the ACC.
I mean BCS was on ESPN. Cable taking over what little real estate is left.

If UConn wins this game, I'm pretty much assured of winning my bracket pool (I lost both of my finalists but I still have a pretty big lead and the two guys closest to me have UF winning the title).
At the same time, that puts them one game closer to winning another title and tying Duke (yuck)

I don't mind either way, personally. But I prefer CBS. To me, that's the home of the tournament. I know one day it will change but apparently not for another 15 years. Right now I love the TBS combo because I fucking love Charles Barkley. He's hilarious.

It doesn't bother me either, so long as games are on cable I'm getting cable, but I'm with you that the tournament should be on CBS. The crew in the should always be this TBS combo, Barkley is a treasure, but I see no reason to take it away from CBS (money be damned).

I just read an article about this. Next year it will be the same but starting in 2016 TBS and CBS will alternate the years they carry the Final Four/Final.

That would be the best ratings combination for sure, but even a huge college basketball fan like me won't tune in if it's UCONN/Wisconsin. I've got better things to do than watch that kind of basketball.
