Just want to see some opinions on this.

If Duke hadn't won the title in 2010, would the narrative coming out of today be that coach K is on the downside of his career and close to hanging it up? Gotta wonder if he doesn't make a Final Four with Okafor and Jones next year, what the reaction will be. Of course, Okafor and Jones could be highly overrated coming out of HS and take some time to adjust to college, like the UK class this year.

People are quick to forget that we were the overwhelming favorites for the title in 2011 before Kyrie went down.

Duke isn't good with just one-and-dones. We need strong seniors and juniors to round the team out. Josh and Tyler just weren't good. Sheed, Amile and Quinn the next 1-2 years will be much better (I hope).

Really disappointing season. We never learned how to play D and Marshall never developed enough to be a presence inside for us. Those were our weaknesses all year long, and those are the reasons we lost today.

2011 and to a lesser extent 2013 were lost seasons.

Who knows how good that 2011 team would have been had Kyrie not gotten hurt (fucking Matt Howard) before conference play and then quickly reinserted before the NCAAT disrupting the team's newfound chemistry.

Who knows how good they would have been last year had Ryan Kelly not gotten hurt and then forced to come back 60-70% healthy and Seth Curry was actually able to practice.
