Growing up I decided to learn the game by watching the games and playing the video games. I even picked up a rule book at Crown Books too. No need for that anymore.

You can probably YouTube hockey systems to see how different styles do their forechecking.

The best is to just watch games (not just NHL) on TV and in person. Ask questions. Eventually you'll notice how plays usually happen with and without the puck and you'll know where to look.

It's a beautiful game.
