So yeah, highlights for me were:

- 360 backwards compatibility rolling out this year.
- New Controller
- Recode CG Teaser (Metroid Prime dev members and Inafune's new game)
- Rare Replay Collection
- Gears Of War 4
- A handful of good looking indie games in that montage section

Overall, not bad, just a shame the old conference schedule fatigue kicked in halfway through with all the usual suspects.

Solid start with some interesting indie titles, but the rest were a bit meh.
I hated their shill audiences that was clapping to ''EPIC'' words!

Ehhhh

6/10

Controller looks cool, backwards compatibility is awesome, Hololens was neat but I'm skeptical, Rare Replay is awesome, Gears 1 looks great and Gears 4 was too dark to see anything.

Everything else was meh.

The strategy was clear:

Getting Xbox 360 players to join in as a strategy to increase their market size. BC is very good for that.

Not seeing Call of Duty was so refreshing.

But man alive, the gameplay reveals of both Tomb Raider and particularly Gears were very underwhelming.

Bit solid for me. Some nice welcome for PC. Elite controller look good, will buy with steam controller too. And I can set fire on my old PC 360 controller end of this year.

Shock of all is no COD.

Deciding to split things between e3 and Gamescom probably softened the impact of the former. Sony's probably going to have a stronger e3 considering they're going to forego having a conference at Gamescom, although they'll likely have a good presence at TGS - which Microsoft assuredly won't.

Fairly good conference I thought, though I don;t really have an interest in their biggest franchises anymore (Halo, Gears, Fable, Forza). The Rare collection is pretty awesome, and Hololens looks impressive - though i'm not really sure how many types of experiences will really translate to it. Seems ideal for boardgames...but honestly I'd rather just get the boardgame. And I doubt that wall screen mode is as good as my TV's. I'm confused to the reaction for BC. Seems like such a non-point to me. I've used it about once on my Wii U and 360. Seems bizarre that people are most excited by last gen games that they already own.

Still, pretty solid. Sony will have done well if they beat it I think.

Totally called the predictable conference.
Best announcement was the backwards compaibility which I don't know if should be considered a good thing.
Halo was cool, Rare's pirate simulator looks nice although not really original, Tomb Raider...totally scripted and boring demo, Gears looked a bit like your generic tps with monsters.
First year without COD.

Wow. Just caught up.

Backwards compatibility including Live?
Inafune/Metroid Prime team game (!!!!!!!!!)
24-player Haloz
Game Previews
Rare Collection
New Rare IP
Gears 4 (I don't give a shit but finally a new fucking game)

Solid conference, I liked Gears 4, the backward compatibility and the surprise of the Inafune game.

I have the feeling Sony is going to do much better than this.

Welp, that started strong and faded HARD.

I went from "I should buy and Xb1" to "I'll wait."

There's an almost startling reliance on old games and old IP's. It was nearly Halo/Gears/Forza all over again.

Cuphead looks awesome though.

Dissapointed conference. Almost everything was CG and... Rare's new game... ew.

:( Cool for having X1 with backwards compatibility tho. And the new controller looks awesome.
