2015 Microsoft E3 Conference

How many shirts will Phil Spencer wear?

BC was unexpected and quite awesome, but it requiring publisher approval for every single game is terrible. I wonder if the region lock will be removed.

Second half of the conference was weak, the Minecraft hololense stuff gave me Milo-vibes.

As someone who has no interest in 360 backwards compatibility, that was pretty weak.
Halo looked dull and Gears looked like a weird Gears The Last of Us crossover.

7/10. The games aren't to my taste but it was a better showing than recent years. I think the presentation was good, bit too much Henry Ford but whatever. Feel like they're spreading themselves too thin with hardware, new programs and BC sounds excellent but need to hear more of the details.

Pirate game was the most interesting thing there probably.

Very strong conference. Strong hardware announcements, game after game after game. No lame exec forcing his way onstage to bore us with yapping, no dufus spouting about a lame TV show for 15 minutes. Excellent.

number/number

I thought it was awesome. I know gaf will always have unrealistic expectations. There was a bunch of really cool things to look forward to. Can't wait to see more Sea of Thieves, and the 30 for $30 is an instabuy. No brainer there. I'll have fun with the Xbox one.

Can't wait for Sony's!

Yeeah, kinda weak. BC seemed big at first but then I realized I already own X360 and I barely play it anymore, so only the elite controller was of any worth to me. And I'm kinda scared of how much it's gonna cost around here.

6/10, not bad, just predictable. Some great news with the BC, might force Sony to add it, too. Would have liked to see some more demos, especially for Sea of Thieves and Recore. Overall not a huge fan of their lineup, but I'm sure the games will be good.

Recore was only game from that show that wowed me, and it wasn't even gameplay.

Halo was boring, Tomb Raider was TR2013, Rare made an MMO, not interested in Gears.

Oh Cuphead WAS AMAZING. I want that.

BC was the stand-out, $30 for the Rare collection was a nice surprise, Gears seems to have some great atmosphere, and the new controller looks nifty. That was my main takeaway from the conference, but overall, it wasn't too bad.

Pretty average all in all, was expecting a bit more.

I'm disappointed that they spent little time on Halo and Forza compared to some of the more mundane multiplats.

The Rare collection looks great, not sure about the new game just yet, though pirate games are always welcome.

Dat elite controller though!

7/10

Now just need some high quality video downloads to inspect further. Get to work Gamersyde!

Thought that was a good conference and I don't even have an Xbox One. There will be plenty to play on the system for the next year and what looked like decent variety.

They could have showed better demo's of Halo and Tomb Raider, the Gears one was kinda meh as well but that's still pretty early. Aside from BC there weren't any real surprises.

Did they say if the games in the Rare collection will be upgraded in any way?

3/10 for me.

BC is cool sure. Not sure if it was a feature "everyone wanted!!!" to begin with. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is with BC. But whatever, glad they did that except for the fact that Mass Effect 1 ran like shit.

Other than that, nothing new, Microsoft refuses to use Rare's good IPs, like always, Gears of War is not that great, and the rest of the games were meh.

Backwards compatability was perhaps the biggest attraction there for me, the simple convenience of having it. Some of those indies looked stunning, as well. In terms of the marquee reveals, the ones that struck a bigger chord with me were, unfortunately, only CG, so it remains to be seen what sort of game they'll be at the end of it.

Enjoyed the extremely clever turns of phrase when referring to Rise of the Tomb Raiders' exclusivity, especially the deft trick of bundling it with a bunch of true exclusives and then saying that they were all "exclusive on Xbox this Holiday".

Ion was the highlight. I want to know more about that.

Overall though, it was quite "safe" and good for XBox fans, but not going to sell me on one.

Halolens is still just AR and I have no interest in it.

Pretty boring.....and besides all the stuff that i already knew i wanted (TR, Forza, Gears,Halo) not a single thing really stood out except for Sea of Thieves to me.

Just another year for me playing the same old tired Microsoft franchises. Thank god this isn't my primary console.
