Oh, I forgot about the Fallout 4 mods on Xbox One! Obviously there will be some limitation but that's still amazing.

Raising my score to 8/10 just for that.

I liked it.

The big 4 are all there.
Some cool indie game.
Backward compatibility.

Pretty solid show.

What people was expecting?

6/10 conference.
Some of the games felt flat. There was effort put in though. More first party showcase would have been better.

I did like Tomb Raider. Recore will be interesting, and the new RARE game was great.

3/10 for me.

BC is cool sure. Not sure if it was a feature "everyone wanted!!!" to begin with. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is with BC. But whatever, glad they did that except for the fact that Mass Effect 1 ran like shit.

Other than that, nothing new, Microsoft refuses to use Rare's good IPs, like always, Gears of War is not that great, and the rest of the games were meh.

BC to me is a HUGE deal. I have 400+ Xbox 360 games. I can get rid of my 360 when the BC list gets more robust.

Wow I could've totally done something else on my lunch break.. That was exactly what I expected. Halo, Tomb Raider, bland indie stuff, mine craft, and forza. Gears looked cool and I loved the Dark Souls III trailer, but that bad to show up somewhere tbh. Overall really mediocre.

BC was a nice surprise though. I was wondering what was missing towards the end, and it was def a really long COD segment. Hope that doesn't show up anywhere else.

And no Banjo Threeie is a super fail. Seriously MS..?

Conference was interesting. Lots of games overall, That was pretty cool. The BC is a farse since publisher BC probably won't allow definitive edition chosen games to be supported (biz sense)

Its funny that Microsoft has cleaned up a bit. I didnt know Crackdown and Scalebound got pushed to Gamescom. So MS really has alot of games to push the Xbox.

Also funny is no COD mention even in any form of goodwill. Lol, purely business.

Conference was... pleasant? Like a crisp glass of ice water with a slice of lemon. Nothing amazing, a little boring, but not terrible and it did its job.

No other way man.

Pretty bad gears reveal. Good lord.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what they were going for with that demo.

The voices were supposed to be player voices right? Or is the burly dude the only player? The animations seemed canned in more than a few places - that enemy jumping on his face at the end looks like what would be a QTE - and there was no excitement or mystery. Just darkness and stuff randomly falling apart - super scripted - with very little player influence.

I guess the target was just to get "More Gears on the way" into our heads.

BC, new controller were the highlights. Cuphead looked great. The Rare collection is a great deal. Hololens seems kind of neat.

Otherwise this conference was a little underwhelming. Halo, Forza, Gears, Fable, Tom Clancy, Plants vs Zombies, Not bad or anything, just the same old, same old.

That conference blew me away.

Mods
Early Access
Backwards compatibility
Sea of Thieves
Fallout 3 with Fallout 4
Gears Remaster
EA Access Vault free with Gold
New Controller

Solid showing. BC seems a bit late and doesn't do much for me, personally, but seeing a high volume of great looking games is always a plus.

B. A strong B.

Well, that was certainly a Microsoft conference. Zero ambition, zero innovation, zero surprises, just more of the same each and every year. Fine if you like that sort of thing, but no reason to buy an XBox One if you're after anything out of the ordinary or with any semblance of individuality or soul.

Take a long hard ass look at yourself in the mirror brother.

And think about what your life has come to.

I really liked that. I'm sold on a few of those games. I think it was a really great showing.

The only downside was trying to play off that VR theatre functionality as VR.

I would say MS may have not done an amazing job with ppl that prefer other platforms, but did a great job for ppl who like Xbox. Lots of fan service here and solidified Xbox as a strong brand going forward.

For fans 8/10 conference. For me it was good, but no reason to pick up xbone until its cheap. Minecraft and Halo were the highlights. BC would have been a bigger deal closer to launch.

I agree that it was a Microsoft conference, but seriously how can yoyu say there's zero innovation and surprises? PC mods on Fallout 4; Backwards compatibility (something people have said is basically impossible from 360->X1 or PS3 -> PS4), and that ridiculous tech demo for Hololens, which isn't something I'm into, but still impressive tech.

Like... if those things aren't innovating, then who is innovating? Did you want PS Move demos or Tony Hawk's Ride or something?

Pretty good press conference to be honest. Huge focus on games and even though most were predictable they looked like exciting entries (here's to hoping Gears4 has split screen at least).

Recore has my attention the most and I'm really hoping BC extends to accessories as well. I invested heavily in 360 for fighters and it would be cool to use my fight sticks for Xbone.

Backwards Compatibility i have to note too. Now I might actually consider getting an Xbox One. How does it necessarily work though? They didn't mention shipping out new consoles, so a new firmware update?

Show started really strong and then kind of puttered out. Hololens presentation seemed full of shit.

They were on pace for a 9 or so at about 10 or 15 minutes in. I think they ended up around a 6 or 7.

I'm excited for the Rare Replay and Pirates, and I'll probably enjoy Tomb Raider (the last one was decent enough for me to 100%). Cuphead looks amazing, but I've already known that for a long time.

Ehh... 7/10. Nothing terrible, but it doesn't make me any more excited to be an XBox One owner.

5 or 6 out of 10. Backwards compatibility was a huge, huge surprise, even if it's not a massive selection so far. Fallout 4 mods were another surprise and the controller was a good idea too. The rest was just very safe. Very dull. Very CGI, although that's to be expected.

5/10 too much shooting

- The indie stuff looks nice, though (some of them are also on PC)
- Cuphead is the highlight.
- The Rare collection was also a highlight
- The new Rare title seems not for me. I would have prefered a single player 3d jump n run / adventure
- hololens seems cool

so, I don't own Xbox One and it looks like I can wait a little bit more

7/10. Show a lot of games, but not enough gameplay. Their conference last year was better.

Thrilled to see Sea of Thieves, Dark Souls III, Cuphead
Lack of other genres and hololens made it meh

Their two biggest games, Halo 5 and Gears 4, had fairly disappointing demo's imo. The highlights for me were Cuphead, Ashen, the Pro pad, BC and Forza 6 (though I need to see more of it). I doubt I'll actually play many old games on the Xbox One, but it's nice to have the option. All in all, a very safe conference, with basically no megatons and very few major exclusive announcements. The biggest bombs were actually all nostalgia or 360 related lol. But to it's credit it was pretty fat free, to the point, and entertaining. Though it was lacking in the overall number of actual gameplay demo's. I'd probably give it a 6.5 to 7/10.
