That delisted thread made me buy this. Found a disc copy on eBay for $3 and had the seller message me the key which worked on Steam.

The use of normal maps is a bit overdone, but that game still holds up quite well graphically for a 9 year old game.

playing with a gamepad so no way to bring up console and hide the hud, maybe ill change to kb+mouse and make some screens when i finished the game

So I recently have been using three VG248QE's and haven't been in the screenshotting mood, but lately I've wanted to take some shots of Star citizen as well as downsampling. The problem is, automatic timings no longer seem to work for my monitors. I only see the upper 10 or so pixels, the rest of the screen is black. I remember someone in the downsample thread with the same monitor showed their timings, but the image is taken down so I can't see it. OR is there a way to take some sort of tiled shot in Cryengine?

When you see the top 10 pixels and the rest black, that's usually a sign that the resolution can work, you just need to mess with the timings. That's how I managed to get my 8K resolution to work.

My timings wouldnt help you though unless you have a 2560x1440 monitor connected via dual-link DVI and a maxwell GPU.

Yea that VRAM usage is insane! 9.6GB! :)

It's fucking awful. Shadow of Mordor's VRAM usage is unacceptable. Hopefully their next game will actually have proper optimisation.

Hey this works great and 75 is just right. I also took your advice and used the level shader. It really balanced the lighting out and textures appear sharper. So thanks for that tip:)

Hurrah! Your preset looks fantastic. Good job.

Yeah, true that. The game's VRAM management is garbage. It just keeps stacking shit in your VRAM and filling it up. Other thing is that the texture quality isn't jaw-droppingly amazing on that HD tex pack either and it reguires a shitload of VRAM.

Thanks. Couldn't have done it without ya! I'm extremely happy with lighting improvement outdoors too.

Could you please provide with a vanilla comparison? I forgot how vanilla looks and I don't wanna reinstall the game if the difference is not worth to replay it.

Digging the visuals in the Yeti DLC. A lot, actually. I think I prefer this map to the main campaign.

Alternate time of day for that last shot

Omg does Far Cry 4 have an actual night time now instead of that weirdly bright and green night time I've been getting?
