This is just... incredible. Thank you for sharing. :)

Interesting @The Janitor, those Arkham City symbols were the only thing that annoyed me when playing the game without hud.
That tool may come in handy once they make it's effects non destructive (toggle), was it difficult to find the right shader/position?

was it difficult to find the right shader/position?

Not in Arkham City, I found them immediately. But I guess it depends on the game and how many shaders there are.

I hope it will work for Arkham Knight, imagine playing it without those effects and no HUD, gonna look like just the movies :)

If you're providing wallpapers.... why not take a separate shot without the GPU overlay....? Cuz... I don't think anyone wants that on their desktop.

Also, Imgur JPGS are highly encouraged here. So keep that up!

Good point - I just took screenshots while trying to capture the VRAM usage - but for other shots, I've disabled the OSD.

LOL @ Imgur! My bad - I used to use Minus - that site has... disappeared now(?).

Just checked the first page and will use one of those hosts.

Haha.. Go easy on a newbie! :)

The power of Mastereffect/reshade/sweetfx can't be underestimated. Some of you are already experts in this while for me it's still a learning process, but for those thinking about it or are even slightly interested I highly encourage you to experiment because it literally breathes new life into games and changes the entire atmosphere and mood if you invest some time into it and find a preset to your liking.

Here's a comparison shot. I posted one a few weeks ago before using levels, curves and tonemap (thanks to AnyOneinCherno) and yesterday I went to the same area and took the same shot. The differences are substantial let alone to the vanilla version. Just ask those Skyrim modders :)

My final preset is up today on http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/ to those that have asked for it, rather than send individual messages. There's some other decent looking Arkham City presets on there too.

Well I haven't uploaded it yet, so here it is :D

Just drop everything where the game .exe is located. This will probably clash with your Reshade though since it also uses a d3d11.dll file
I know there is a way to use two of those .dll at the same time but I can't remember how, you'll have to figure that out.

Haha..yes, so you haven't. I'll have a read through it and try to figure it out. Those lighting bolts above the characters heads have been pissing me off.

Cheers :)

Damn, that's one fugly TOD. It makes grass look like it's on low preset + super dark shadows.

While it's not the best looking TOD, it certainly isn't the worst! All of them have pros and cons, but to call it "fugly" is certainly not cool! The guys who made it gave their best, and i give them credit! With that said, i would really like to see yours...if you're even capable to make one!?

Then we can judge your talents!!!

Anyway, imo best looking darn turtle i've ever seen in video game!

This is such a poor way to respond to any criticism, and I really wish it would stop. You don't have to be a renowned chef to judge food. You do not have to be a world-class director to judge movies. You don't have to be a graphics engineer to criticize a time of day setting for Crysis 1. All you need is a general understanding of how light bounces around to know that those shadows are way too dark and therefore looks kind bad.

Nah..Far Cry 3's turtles are better looking :-p

He did say they were the best turtles that HE has seen, maybe not the best turtles that you have seen :P

Indeed. But what a lot of people seem to like now is harsh lighting. When the most popular ENB, which aims for realism, looks like this, you know there's a problem. Oh well.

The thing is...nobody here is asking for criticism. If someone asks "hey what do you think of this" then feel free to pipe up. Otherwise, keep it to yourself.

So it's supposed to be one giant circlejerk unless told otherwise?

That seems silly.

There are some great screens, and some not so great ones. Wouldn't you rather know what you could improve on?

People don't have to accept criticisms as valid, but anyone is free to offer criticism regardless of if it was asked or not. That's life.
