Yeah, not a big fan of DoF myself to be honest, unless it's used sparingly. Not when the whole background is blurry. But that's just me I guess.

Edit: btw, I greatly preferred the following two shots that you took, they're really really good and don't have the headache-inducing exaggerated blur to them.


Yeah and it runs at a perfect 60 FPS, too. The only blemish is the very obvious aliasing, some shots I wanted to post but the aliasing is just a bit too visible and it bothers me... ^^ But the texture quality is quite solid, I really like the graphics in the Wolfenstein games.

Well, I might as well post them anyway, just try not to look at the jaggies too much xD

Yeah I already know all about this since the KZSF pdf that GG released, there was a good part about Dof quality and its cost.

When I get home later today, I'll post a few matching shots of both versions.

The previous demo of FFXV was mostly a resolution difference, iirc.

Yeah, the visuals are really, really underwhelming. For a series that always had state of the art visuals, it's pretty substandard. Only the lighting was nice in some areas, that's all I can say. And Carbuncle is cute as hell :3

But the worst part wasn't the visuals, it was the "gameplay". Was a mess. "Do you want to order FF XV?", they asked. Hell naw. xD

A band site have comparison screenshots and the PS4 was noticeably better, I would guess there is still a resolution difference.

Some blurry textures here and aliasing and dithering on shadows and especially hair there is killing it. Sadly FFXV looks pleasant if not those hiccups.

Only the environment is blurry, the character is clean, so this provides to the shot a photomode effect with dof enabled. I quite believe that is how mckmas8808 has understood my shots, and I posted them for that main reason.
And I personnaly think that these shots are indeed the best BB shots I've taken so far. The character is popping as never in the first shot, it gives a 3D impression, more depth, something in perpetual motion, I don't know how to express that feeling otherwise.

@mckmas8808 : thanks for your comment, you have caught what I wanted to express with these shots. And I hope many will do.

That's exactly what I noticed. It gives us a better feel for what the game actually would look like running on your TV. Most of these Bloodborne screenshots look static and bland.
