Is there a way to download the GR2 demo without PS+?

You need a Japanese PS+ membership, but there's a trick to getting PS+ for 24 hours (free). Basically, once you're on your Japanese account, go to Settings > Application Save Data Management > Auto-Upload, and it should give it to you. From there, go to the store, and download the demo.

Yeah that's probably it. I've already used a PS+ trial on my Japanese account. I don't want to create another account so I'll just wait till it hits EU PSN without the PS+ requirement. If that ever happens.

Gravity Rush 2 looks really good! Character design sucks, but I love the environment. How's performance?

It mostly struggles with performance when you're flinging around/breaking a lot of projectiles or fighting big enemies, which they can hopefully iron out. Aside from that, it's pretty stable.
