I think every game except.. maybe Horizon and Dead Rising, showed poorly. It didn't need to show poorly, but they just chose the worst way to present each game.

From the perspective of someone who doesn't own an XB1 but is looking to be pursuaded to buy one, there wasn't anything I felt was compelling enough to make that leap. The Xbox conference actually made the PC look like a more appealing option right now, even though I've never had a gaming pc, ever.

Focusing on terrible games and fast forwarding the interesting ones. Missing all the expected one platform announcements and even the ones they did were super small like only10 games being cross buy.

Now that MS seems happy to bring all their content to PC, I'm not sure I'll ever need an Xbox as a discrete console. That's the megaton for me out of this. I'll have a (6tfop+) 'xbox' of my own pretty soon.

In terms of broader strategy, I've no idea how this will play out for MS. But if it all goes to crap, at least their dependency on one route to market for their platform is gone now.

I'd say it was a great conference made significantly better by the excellent introduction of Project Scorpio. It was however a little light on NEW game announcements. There were really only 3: Dead Rising 4, State of Decay 2, and Forza Horizon 3.

I guess they're saving some games for Gamescom which is smart.

Absolutely fantastic job by MS and that was despite the leaks spoiling the surprises. They showed comprehensive gameplay on almost everything they showed. And they showed a nice and diverse grouping of games. And without boring numbers or too many CG trailers.

People shitting on this will never be satisfied. That was as good an E3 conference as you could EVER hope for.

Sony will react to this and NEO/Scorpio will turn into an arms race. Nintendo gonna get left behind.

I only have a PS4 now, but I'm on board with Scorpio day one. Power matters. I hope they open the platform up a bit.

Damn. That was a really good conference. As a PC and PS4 gamer, I'm super excited for Xbox gamers! Sony's gonna have a hard time beating that I think. It might not have had a ton of new games, but there was a lot of really cool stuff shown, and lots of actual gameplay. Personally I'm pretty interested in just about every game shown, so hopefully they fix the Windows store at some point so that I can play them

Very intrigued with Scorpio and how that will affect PS4K. I'm hoping Sony can bump the rumored specs up a bit to match.

This conference did very little for me. Scalebound was good and that creepy mime game was awesome. Also, the camera work was just absolute shit lol. Wasn't terrble, just didn't wow me. They seemed desperate. Desperate to get out ahead of Sony.

The difference is Sony's could be coming out this year, and will likely be significantly cheaper than Scorpio by the time that launches.

Idk, even though many of the games didn't interest me personally, I recognise they may appeal to many others.

They showed a wide variety of games, and the Scorpio announce could be potentially huge

8.5 or 9 out of 10 conference for me.

+ Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and Scalebound all looked really good.
+ Recore looked good as well, was expecting it to be worse.
+ Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, and Dead Rising 4 look or sound great but need to see more.
+ The Xbox Live improvements were nice
+ Project Scorpio!

- Very concerned about Crackdown
- Middle section was very slow
- The leaks, but that's my own fault for reading them

I agree, it as very boring. Only bits that got me pretty hype are Horizon 3 & Scorpio. Little bit of Halo Wars too...
