Predicting Germany vs Mexico and Portugal vs Chile in the semifinals.

You guys think Osorio should lose his job if he fails to get out of the group stage? Feels like they're looking for the first reason to get rid of him.

The main goal at this stage is to qualify to Russia, which I don't think Osorio will fuck up seeing how Mexico is in the first place right now in the hexagonal.

I wonder if there are promo shots or the real thing. But good to know what FIFA didn't slacked in the Switch version.

Honestly I'm taking the transiberian from Moscow to Beijing next week and this week I was watching TV and they were talking about this cup so I decided to check if there was a match while I was there and I impulse bought a ticket. I'll cheer depending on my seating place, didn't even pay much attention to where I'm going to sit.

Damn is NZL a bad team. The only reason they're here is because of their geographical location. But also Russia isn't much better either.

Germany are to wear black armbands.
SOCHI, Russia (AP) — Germany’s national soccer team will wear black armbands at the Confederations Cup opener following the death of former chancellor Helmut Kohl.

Kohl, who died on Friday at the age of 87, spearheaded the end of Germany’s decades-long division into East and West. He led the country from 1982 to 1998, first for West Germany and then all of a unified Germany.

The German soccer federation asked FIFA to allow its players to honor Kohl when the team plays Australia in Sochi on Monday in the warm-up tournament for the 2018 World Cup.

FIFA confirmed to The Associated Press that it had authorized Germany’s request to wear black armbands in its opening match of the group stage.

Who knows. You can't tell with Osorio, dude put 4 center backs against the US last week and he was lucky it didn't backfired before he corrected his mistake.

Out mid is pretty weak defensively, we don't have a Torrado type player anymore. But we do have a solid defense in my opinion

I think we can pull a surprise, Portugal are not unbeatable.

Mexico: Ochoa; Salcedo, D.Reyes, Moreno, Layun; Guardado, J. dos Santos, Herrera; Vela, Chicharito, Jimenez.

Not liking that Portugal team, André Silva and Bernando should be ahead of Nani and fucking André Gomes.

The video ref is useless if we can't hear the conversation or see a replay during the decision. Maybe it's just ITV's coverage but if video refs mean one minutes worth of shots of confused players, it's not really worth it.
