I always save my JPGs with 97% quality since that's the sweet spot for noticable artefacts for me. I checked that high quality upload button.Well that's a bad example as both images are already decently compressed (605KB). But IMGUR does have an "upload in high quality" setting that doesn't obliterate images > 5MB.

I did some testing now with uploading a 100% JPEG (~ 9 MB). Imgur will compress it down to ~900 kB which is noticeable. Then I uploaded a 97% JPEG (~ 4 MB) version of the original one and Imgur will save it too with ~ 4 MB. There's no noticeable flaw or any visible difference compared to the original 100% JPEG.
So I guess as long as the image stays under 5 MB in size it's OK to use imgur web sharing.
That makes sense, I think!I would say that because of that size limit and the need to check an extra checkbox for high quality upload, the potential for user error with imgur is higher than the usual recommended hosts.
Umm is that some hair there i'm seeing above and below her belly button lol
I'm going to guess a funky instance of ambient occlusion, but I did have to give it a double-take once you pointed it out.. hehe.Umm is that some hair there i'm seeing above and below her belly button lol
