Volpe not scoring there is typical yankees baserunning ive seen all season. their manager was hired because hes soft on players. well, this is what you get when you dont hold your players accountable and bench them. they make these mental mistakes in the world series.

Baseball is not the game i grew up watching and fell in love with. This is the probably the last season i watch.

It's a different game. Power hitting, low batting avg, low OPS, lots of K's. And pitchers all gun 90+ mph. Tough to score and get on base. Oddly, last few seasons SBs are back the past few years similar to 80s/90s, when it had been 20 years of slow players. It's an all or nothing HR or strikeout league now. Almost nobody sacrifice hits anymore too.

Crazy stat. This is the first time a team has managed to avoid getting swept in the world series after being down 3-0 since 1970. 54 years of teams rolling over.

Fan interference last night. I like how they grab Mookie and then try to blame Mookie. I like the name Mookie.

…but seriously he's a huge Asshat… he could have easily fucked his arm pulling that shit if it went even slightly different. People swiping balls that should be in play, eh it happens and they have rules to make it up, but this goblin was literally dangling him off the ground off the edge/corner of the wall after a jumping catch.

Classic Boone's Yankees. Ive seen this over and over again for the last 7 years.

It's funny how it happened in the world series and now the whole world is laughing at them. Maybe next time hold your players accountable and bench them every now and then and the players would learn to focus.
 
Honestly shocked but incredibly happy. I'm 45 years old, have no memories of Fernandomania but remember going to Dodger Stadium to face the Padres as a very young child. The magic of '88 was something else but afterwards the Dodgers utterly traumatized me with so many disappointments and faceplants. Even now agreeing with what those say about 2020 and the utter devastation of the following years exits I kept expecting the bottom to fall out in this World Series. My heart has been lodged in my throat and I don't check anything on any forums due to being incredibly superstitious so it still seems unreal.

Congrats to the Dodgers and congrats to Freddie Freeman!
 
I loved the timing of the announcer just gushing non-stop praise about how amazing Judge is, then Judge immediately dropped the routine fly ball that lead to the collapse.

The top of the 5th was epically bad. I don't think they scored the play at first or third as errors but they should be. Seriously should have been out of the inning with no runs, it was hilarious to see.

Other than Freemans heroics, it was a bum ass series overall.

I had high hopes too, but I guess modern day sports are more of a letdown. 🗝️

I think Cole simply expected Rizzo to run to first with it in hand. Looking back on it I'm surprised he didn't and it just looked like Rizzo paused to look at Cole in disbelief before realizing Mookie was running to first base like a guy about to miss his bus.
