2025 | New Years Resolutions

All, I can't see Zero being any good for me as I age. Problem is other than squash I'm not sure what to replace the few cans I do have with.

No idea what my insides will think as 20 years of carbonated drinks stop, so I'll do it gradually.
I switched to zero variants. They are easy to guzzle but I'm not convinced they are harmless tbh.

I switched to cordial when not on water and just chucked ice cubes in there too. You can also get sweet drops from gym places: https://www.myprotein.com/p/sports-...etyWLYzqcOEoC97LppM3QM0UaAqxREALw_wcB&adtype=

There's also fruit juice but that has calories, but does count as 1 a day!

I'm retarded?

They are not. They contain, at least in Europe, aspartame, which is carcinogenic. I drink them to avoid sugar but maybe like half a liter per month or so. I should stop completely though.

I'm seriously considering completely quitting alcohol. I don't have a problem or anything. I get hung over, or puke way too easily to ever develop a problem, but I don't like the person I become when I have too much to drink. I end up running my mouth and I always end up regretting what I said the next morning (sometimes having to send an apology text or make an apology phone call). Plus the more I read about the negative effects of alcohol and how it really does shorten your life span I think it would be better to just stop. I'll miss things like a cold beer on a hot summer day, but the time we get here is so short. I'm enjoying the ride and I don't want to get off.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing. I’m the type of person where if it’s in the house, I’ll probably drink it. In November/december I went a month without drinking, and that was fine. So I’m just gonna stop buying alcohol. If someone else buys it for me, I‘ll still drink it.

Other than that, I could stand to lose the weight I gained over COVID a few years ago. Hoping to finally do that, and just get back into better shape in general.

Problem with cutting out drinking is you soon find going out with drinkers rather boring. For special occasions you can drive which forces you to not drink but just popping to the pub with mates isn't as fun as when you are also drinking.

Yeah. I think I’ve decided I’m banning buying booze this year. Going out to a bar or restaurant doesn’t count, because I never overdrink in those scenarios. But if I buy a bottle of bourbon, it only takes me a couple days to crush the whole bottle.

So I’m just not going to visit any beer or liquor store this year. That is gonna make stress management more difficult, but better in the long run. Maybe I’ll switch to weed lol.

Which is what I did. I quit weed for a for a full year and then decided that this lifestyle's not doing it for me. So, I got back on the flying carpet haven't touched a bottle since.

Any advice on how to not eat the entire kitchen while you’re high? My biggest and arguably only problem with weed is that I get hella munchies and literally can’t stop eating.

Been thinking about this today and…. Nothing really.

My diet is in check, my training is going well, I‘m in great shape and feel better than ever. Now at 14 days workout in a row and instead of being exhausted (which I used to be after such a session) I have more energy every day.

I‘m already reading non-fiction books non stop which was my goal last year. Not a big traveler. Job is good enough so I can go through the day care free.

Since I‘m journaling daily and now the first time habe a full written year to look back to I was able to pull some stats.

188 good/excellent days, 145 ok days, 19 rather bad days

Think thats some good median I have to be thankful for. So I guess for 2025… Enjoy the ride. Lets see what life brings.

1. Improve my graphic design skills.
2. Lower my blood sugar levels.

That's all. Would be happy with achieving both goals.

1.) Get my health in order, eat healthier, and lose 30 lbs.
**Cut out soda, diet soda, and processed foods**
2.) To finally start my side business. I need to make more money and am tired of slaving away at my 9 to 5 and not getting ahead.

I like New Year’s resolutions, I have manage a budget better, less take out food and manage screen time. Obviously I want to read more, go rowing, use a sauna, cut out soda, travel to a new state, take an online college class. I think the great ones are born with resolutions.

Work out and save up as much money as I can to prepare for my dream adventure. Going to Peru to see Machu Picchu.
One of my coworkers did Peru. I forget what she did there, but when she told us she was going it was kind of an odd choice as most people say Mexico or somewhere in Asia or Europe. But I remember her coming back and loving it.
