I so wish that happens. =) Rofl
Seriously...that'd be the single most shocking event in TV history. Hell, if Tony died I'd cry.

I'm not counting on Terrorist Soccer Mom being killed.

If you haven't learned by now that people getting shot off camera is a clear invitation for SHOCKING RETURNS; you need to be fed puppies for breakfast as punishment.

Good to see Arnold Vosloo laying some smack down. It's the only reason I'm watching this. :p

Now I can see where Wario64 got all his stupid good Socom 2 moves from. HEY! You're not Jack Bauer, stop pointing and owning with that gun! >:|

:lol

And 24 never does that. They don't revive dead characters, or characters that are presumed to be dead. *glares at Alias

But if you don't believe she's dead, wait till tomorrow morning when Fox updates their episode summary guide at the official 24 homepage. The episode summary for this ep. will confirm whether she's truly dead or not, if you still think she's alive. She's obviously dead though

So everyone can breathe easier- those thumb pads in real life would not work with a severed finger. There would be no blood pressure in the finger and the lock would pick up on that and not open.

Seriously, I liked Dina Araz. She was the nicest terrorist I've ever known... :(

Just thought of something far fetched.

Beruz' mom could be playing a double agent. She pulled the trigger on Habib because she wanted to gain Jack's trust.
This would somehow facilitate the trade with Jack for Beruz and she gets what she wants as she is reuinited with her son
. Then again that would make Jack look gullable and 24 would never do that. But something has to explain why she was "killed" off camera.

I didn't read the spoiler tag portion, but I don't think she would be a double agent. Marwan wanted her dead ever since Navi was ordered to kill his family. I don't even know why CTU decided to go in covertly...way too risky and they got caught easily

As for getting killed off camera..cause we've seen enough deaths on screen? :p

aw, i liked terrorist soccer mom. bet the kid who plays behrooz experienced some conflicting feelings during that goodbye scene! i hope she's still alive. though i doubt it. i think that aside about the president declaring martial law is going to be big, by the way. maybe the president is IN ON THE PLOT.

Not reading any of the replies. Just felt like making a little comment. I've watched episodes 1-6 so far. It hasn't gripped me yet, but I really like the build up. I'm at the bridge between the trial and the 'next thing' right now so I'm pretty hyped for what's to come. So far Bauer has continued to impress (the robbery was ace, plus other things) and my only complaint is that I'm not fond of the Erin Driscoll character yet (getting there).

It was always interesting to read these threads after watching the episodes so I look forward to catching up to you guys. :)

Sweet episode!

I agree that it is a little odd they didnt show her get killed on screen, but for all we know maybe her contract stated if she was killed off it had to be off screen? I dunno, but I think it's a good bet she's dead, doubt they'll pull the she struggled with the gunman and managed to turn the gun on him bit with this one

I was suprised at Edgar's lashing out at Tony, Edgar is cool, but come on man, not to Tony! Still though, was good to see him having a it of backbone.

Tony and Michelle's relationship wasnt focused on much this episode, but they seemed to be getting along much better this episode.

Poor Jack, looks like he's gonna loose his girl :(

Let's hope it stays that way. Now that I'm watching, your odds of Fox suddenly effing the show up have increased. The World seems to love conspiring to ruin things I've taken an interest in. Don't say I didn't warn you. ;)

:lol

What sucks is I've been missing a week here, and a week there. Typically it's the more action packed episodes. :/

Probably because she's one of the best critically aclaimed actresses they've had on the show, she's not that young, and squibs really sting.

Can someone check the episode summary guide? The site seems screwed up...it isn't updated with last night's summary

www.fox.com/24/

Click on episode guide and check whether they say Dina is indeed dead

Wow where do you see that? It's still not showing the update for me....

Are you here? http://www.fox.com/24/episodes/guide.html

Thats where I got the info from.

Edit: From the episode guide

Damn thing finally updated for me....

8:58p.m.
Dina aims at Jack's head. At the last second, she turns the gun on Marwan and pulls the trigger. The chamber clicks empty. "Just what I thought," Marwan says calmly. He order his men to Kill Dina and take Jack away.

That's not a strong confirmation that she's dead....

I think it's pretty safe to say she's dead. I don't see how her "coming back" would make the show more interesting or even be warrented. Also how many get the feeling that this season might not end very happily?
I have a sinking feeling that the president is going to die. They haven't built up him barely at all, he was an asshole last season, he's very expendable. Leaves the door open for Palmer to, maybe, come back.

I agree I'm just saying... vs. the way Marianne's death shown "in camera" it's strange they would leave it so gray. Every other "storyline" character's death has pretty much been on camera that I can think of this season well except for Edgar's Mom and Driscoll's daughter.

I'm betting
Chase comes back, maybe he saved her, and from the look at next weeks preview Jack may also need saving

I'm loving this season so far.

The producers are playing with our minds :lol

This debate will go on until the end of the season. Just like how people debated whether CTU Director Walsh was alive and a mole throughout the entire season in the first season

I don't see how it makes sense that she would be alive though. Marwan wanted her dead since like what, the 6th episode? He doesn't trust her...

The only explanation I can come with is if the terrorist MISSED when he shot Dina

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking (that he missed). Thinking back, they show the guy shooting the gun at the offscreen Dinah so there's no way she wrestled the gun away from him or anything like that. Also, it was Navi that wanted Dina dead, not Marwan. Marwan just agreed that Navi could "clean his mess up".

Also, if you are ever in the situation where you have to shoot somebody you're working with undercover, always I repeat always pull the trigger. Sucks to be the person potentially getting shot, but if you don't, you usually both end up dead.

*If* she is still alive I really like VPhys speculation.

Did anybody else get weirded out by Dina and Behrooz's goodbye scene? Way too many kisses and way too close to the mouth *shudder*

More like "Oh mommy don't go, no! You killed my girlfriend like 9 hours ago! I love you!"

Damn right. Hell I think it makes it more obvious that she wasn't killed by the fact that they left it so ambiguous.

I dunno... maybe it was the fact they were killing an unarmed women on network TV. Maybe a bit much for the FCC? I just dont see how that guy could miss her. He threw her down and basically shot at her point blank a couple times. We'll see though, maybe ill be eating my words.
:D

I got the feeling that Jack is sensing that his relationship with audrey is swirling the bowl too. I think that he has a deathwish. Taking on a mission that has very little chance of success and not even saying goodbye to her. He has done very dangerous things this season, but he has always been armed and been able to defend himself. This time he was completely unarmed and knew he was going to take a beating and probably get killed.

I definitely think that Dina is dead. 24 has never brought back dead characters(unless you count Jack in season 2:)), killed on or offscreen. It is not this shows M. O.

Spring Break has been keeping me away from 24. :(

I just finished watching it. And I'm so happy that Chloe is back. :D

And I LITERALLY fell out of my chair and went crazy when Dina turned the gun on Marwan and pulled the trigger. I had to pause it for a good two minutes to get myself together. :lol
