Continuing the celebration of PlayStation's 25th Anniversary, let's look back at the "failure" of Sony's home consoles. The only PlayStation home console to fail to sell over 100 million units.

But, as failures go, the 5th best selling home console of all time, the PS3, still had a great overall library. Many of it's best games were also on competing platforms, but it still had a great list of console exclusives.

Note that s few of these would eventually go to other platforms in later generations, but during the Wii/PS360 gen, these remained PlayStation console exclusives.

P5 is a PS4 game for 99% of people. Odin Sphere is the same plus it's a remaster of a PS2 game.

I hope Sony goes back to Twisted Metal in the future. The PS3 game was good and had a lot they could improve on. Its one of their classic franchises.

The PS3 library was a bit better, for its time, than the PS4 library, I feel.
But playing games on the PS4 is such a superior experience compared to last gen, though.

My brain read the title wrong and thought for a split second that the PS3 released 25 years ago. I felt utterly ancient for a moment.

Yeah I'm liking this list so far. I would even add some of the funky and awesome PSN games like Super Stardust HD.

Not a good gen for japanese games. At least not on consoles, (3)DS and PSP were getting good stuff.

I was really hoping that Hellblade was a sequel to Heavenly Sword. Certainly seemed that way when it first was announced.

Hellblade was still an amazing game though.
