2K Games announced today an exclusive worldwide agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to publish and distribute current generation console video games based on the highly-anticipated The Da Vinci Code film by Oscar winning director Ron Howard, which is based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel. The games are being developed by The Collective, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment and a top developer of action titles. Timed to coincide with the film release date, The Da Vinci Code games are expected to be available in May 2006.

A murder takes place at De Louvre in france. The victim manages to write the name of the hero on the wall before he dies(the hero is a art lover and history teacher if I remember correctly). The hero is taken to the crime scene(brought from the US) and it evolves from there. Really evolves.

The book has sold over 25M copies worldwide...The movie will probably be one of the biggest movies of Summer 2006. The game, who knows, it could be interesting if done well.

Sony is working hard to make sure the next GTA remains exclusive to the PS3...
