I feel like the new premium users only is a way to pad their user stats. I was thinking of making a new account just to take advantage of the promo. Pretty lame rule for the promo.

Ah, gotcha. Never heard that referred to as mobile access before.
Normally, when using the app on your phone with a free account you can only listen to albums in shuffle mode. Premium lets you play whatever you want and also download higher quality files to listen to offline from your sd card.

Jumped on it and my wife is now a huge Spotify fan! We love being able to see what the other is listening to and also share with each other on the fly. Not to mention saving space on our phones since we only have 16 gigs on our phones. Also music discovery is fantastic!
I'm not sure tbh. I just remember it was there and wished I had it during my few hours car ride coming back from home from the holidays lol.

Lovin' it so far. Will likely cancel after the promo is over since $10/month is way too pricey for my budget. The offline mode is spoiling me, though.

You'd just have access for the remainder of the month that you paid for.

Getting in on those Tidal free trial users, I see.
I'll give my endorsement to Spotify. I haven't had the need to buy music since starting Spotify mid-last year, and a subscription at full price is the cost of one album or even less.

If you're using on a PC or Mac, it only removes the ads and enables 320kpbs. Not much, really.
If you're using it on mobile, however, it also adds support for downloading tracks/albuns/playlists for listening offline and removes the mobile-only limitations where you can only listen in shuffle mode and can only skip tracks 6 times per hour.
