newsflash: polished cars are shiny and reflective. oh my god, what the fuck. barbeque?

i actually wanted to take some photos of cars just driving down the highway. I mean cars depending on their paint job have strong reflections, especially whites and blues because majority of the reflection is the sky.

Car dont even have to be polished to reflect its surroundings. Just check some cars around you when for example stopped at traffic lights. Its the car paint... :)

it's not as realistic as gt5, but i do like the extra shiny look to the cars, in an arcade racer at least.
It does resemble Ridge Racer Type 4 intro a lot, and i like it a lot : )
impressive stuff, can anyone confirm it's playable ?

Watch the movie before commenting on it's realism. :)

So is the selective motion blur a part of the game? It's evident in the movie and these shots...but I've always thought it would be really CPU/GPU intensive. It really helps things look realistic...

i did, i did. Actually it's so purdy this stupid pc i use at work cannot even play the movie smoothly : P
Jokes aside, something is off in the cars' physics, i still think it's a little too shiny but that's the way i like my arcade racer : )

well, burnout 3 does to an extent (it only blurs certain parts of the screen) so i guess it can be done next gen. It really helps give a CG feel.

Fucking amazing. This will be the first racing game I buy in over a decade.

I'm there at launch, for a racing game. If you knew me, that would sound bonkers. :D
