3DS Streetpass Experiences

StreetPass Battle must be horrible if you don't pass through major cities or universities. It takes 400 units for the first castle upgrade, and you only get 120 for five play coins.

I got my first street pass with someone today who had it already! They are super fun. I was really surprised with how much I enjoy them. Recommended to anyone that owns a 3DS that occasionally gets street passes

Dammit! My system just froze during Warrior's Way (I was about to start an invasion). Music is still playing, but buttons don't work (not even Home). WTF?!

Hoping the new streetpass games will encourage more to carry their 3DS around. More hits are always appreciated!

I don't know how successful they have been in europe.

Out of the ~50 passes I have had since the new games launched, only 5 people have played them.

I have no interest in the new games, but I am really appreciating the performance boost in Mii Plaza. Only took two years!

So I realized scrolling waaaaay up that in the new update, there's a threshold where Miis you've obtained via Streetpass eventually become Invite Miis. Does the new update let your plaza population increase beyond 3000?

Quick question, if I have a queue of StreetPasses waiting for me, will I still get to use them after I load Mii Plaza and purchase the new games or will they be used up first before I have the chance to buy?

This is so lame. I can't do the Battle one because I can't get any troops. I have about 3000 dudes and the only person I pass has 80000 since she got the update a long time ago and just kept using mine to give her new troops since it doesn't count as a repeat if they don't own the game.

What? D:
I constantly do streetpasses with a console that has +600 Miis in its plaza. So, you are saying that if that console gets Warrior's Way/StreetPass Battle, I won't be getting those 600 Miis each time we pass each other anymore? The Miis are added once, one time only, and that's it? Because the would suck SO freaking much.

If the other person owns the game, you get two options. Either greet them, in which case they go away and you get no Miis, or you can battle them. If you win that battle, you get extra Mii's equivalent to half their army. So, if you're lucky, you can get thousands of Mii's that way.

Is there any way to quickly fill your plaza up with "Met via invitation" Miis? I've got a second 3DS and having thousands of Miis on it for Warrior's Way would be useful.

I love these new hats so much.

Online Mario Kart 7 is the way I can think of. Just keep entering matches and disconnecting.

Warrior's Way gets tricky later on...I'm about halfway through and need about 300,000 troops for Country 10 >_>;;

Finished Mii Shooting yesterday thanks to my trip to DisneySea! I finally managed
to unlock Arcade Mode :D

Mansion is turning into a bit of a farce at the moment. I've had to dismiss 4 out of the last 5 visitors because their pieces were too big.

I only have one or two block-holes left.

I have been gifted about 700 troops from a friendly greeting with my JP 3DS that has 37,000 troops (there's no way I could win that battle w/ the starting NA 3DS army), so you can get some from greeting. It's only happened once so far though.

why not use them on the next floor?
you can always return to previous floors later.

also: that's what she said

Mmm... one of the accomplishments in the Garden game requires you to take a picture, but I've taken several pictures and it doesn't seem to count. Any tips?

In Garden you won't just complete an achievement as soon as you do it, Mendel will give you the hat voucher so you have to wait for him to do that.
I've completed an achievement before and then Mendel didn't mention it or give me the hat voucher until the next time I loaded it up to look at some Streetpasses.

I haven't found the stairs to the next floor yet.

I might have to take more care not to leave gaps when I'm starting with an empty floor.

Any idea how to do the "Defeat an army twice the size of yours" achievement in StreetPass Battle/Warrior's Way?

Also how do you move to the next floor in StreetPass Mansion/Monster Manor?

It's easily done, although it's far more difficult before you get the castle upgrade that lets you pay Wentworth off to organise your army and lets you spy on the opponent.

Try dividing your troops up reasonably equally, and hope you get a favourable match.

Is there any way of playing the Streetpass games for us non-japanese? I live in a small town in Sweden and I would be surprised if more than 100 people here even owned a 3DS, let alone happened to walk by me while we both had it in our bag in sleep mode... StreetPass seems like such a huge mistake anywhere outside Tokyo.

Are there any community gatherings?

Go to big events like comic or games conventions.

and/or

make your girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband/brother/sister/best friend buy a 3DS so that you can streetpass him/her three times everyday

I think there was a talk that Nintendo were going to use wifi hotspots to distribute Miis. I don't think they put a timetable on that scheme, though.

I don't know if it would consist of random Miis, or even if you could spoof public networks at home like with Animal Crossing items (I think all the AC stuff is on the cart, so it's just reading the network name rather than exchanging data).

So yeah, a solution may be in the pipeline, but might take a while knowing Nintendo.

Strangely enough, I got a free $20 card after some trouble buying at a local store, so that was reason enough for me to get the Mii Plaza Bundle.
So far, I love Mii Force.
I have an anime convention to go to by the end of September, so I'll have plenty of street passes to take advantage of the new mini games.

I don't have a link handy but Iwata said the hotspot Miis would be actual Miis from other people who passed the hotspot. Nintendo wants to keep the idea of Streetpassing intact even with the new hotspot distribution.

Yesterday I got 4 streetpass hits and 3 of the people already had all 4 new games, as do I. Looks like adoption rate is doing well.

And man the new games are a lot more fun to play than Find Mii. I actually look forward to playing them.

That's cool. It would lose some of the excitement if I got Chris from New York when visiting McDonalds in Birmingham.

Damn it! This is so dumb! I bought the games on my spare 3DS to try and Streetpass myself to build my army. Now I don't get any troops at all as opposed to getting a couple hundred for every pass. Grrrrrrrr

My gf has been in love with my 3DS since she first saw it this sunday and immediately said she wanted her own with Animal Crossing, but I don't know... I kind of like us being in the same town on my 3DS :(

I've gotten plenty of streetpasses. The only ones I knew a tiny bit were some game store employees. And once I met up with someone to exchange a Kid Icarus: Uprising weapon. But I met him on the internet, not through streetpass first. That's it.

Still waiting to meet a potential wife through streetpass.
... ... ...okay, maybe not, but it would be a nice bonus.

There are people I have passed 9 times that I have no idea who or where they are. I like the anonymity.

There was one girl who included her tumblr url, even that felt like tmi.

A few weeks ago there was the Japan Expo event in France, I used this opportunity to Streetpass hundreds of people (something like ~300 in 4 days) and play as much as I could with the new Streetpass game

So

- Garden is crap, it's slow it's boring and there's way too much talk, I found myself skipping it after two of the four days

- The schmup was way too fucking easy when you go for a level with the 10 streetpass cap, and I completed it too fast (there's approximately 15-20 levels), the replay value isn't that good so I think I'm already over with it

- Conquest/Battle has ridiculously huge spike of difficulty, something like you beat the crap out of a king with 50 000 soldiers and the next one is 200 000. I have around 240 000 soldiers now, the streetpass aren't giving me enough soldiers to make a steady progress and I haven't even conquer half of the country.
Basically I'm not playing most of the time, I check the streetpass, get something around 2 000 new soldiers and quit. And since the battle system is kind of lame anyway (fucking rock papper scissors, even if there are some kind of variations) I'd say that overall the game isn't really very fun to play

- Haunted House is by far the best one, I'm currently at the 21st floor and it's always cool to explore every floor and trying to create big rooms with a single color, the crafting is ok and the few fights here and there are welcome. Like the others game, the difficulty is almost absent except for the boss fight every five floors.

I've been really enjoying streetpass since I moved back to Japan. I live in Osaka city proper, so I pretty much get a guaranteed 10 streetpasses just carrying my 3DS in my briefcase to work. I've definitely been enjoying the new streetpass games a ton as a result as well. Tons of fun when you're actually regularly getting streetpass tags. i went from 7 to 146 in a matter of 2 weeks.

I feel like I deserve it, after having to endure never streetpassing with anyone but my roommate and the Best Buy demo unit when I lived in Colorado.

Sucks living in the UK for streetpassing :( This system feature is almost entirely useless over here, the odds of running into someone with a 3DS in sleep mode with streetpass enabled is incredibly low. Maybe at an airport or something, but other than that it just won't ever happen.
