I understand their intentions with the 'baitless' fish but the execution is horrible.

Are you using HomePass? If so, it's do-able. I just recently got all of the fish. Now I'm working to get A for all of them.
How'd you know? Are you psychic?!
Probably the exact same deal with all the fish, but I still gotta complete it for completion sake.

Oh, I think there's still a reward for that too, since that's the requirement for gold medals.

yea im going for all fish species and i cant stand the execution. I feel like the odds of encountering new species after you have the common gold species and the giant squid, oarfish, blooper, and cheep cheep is only high if you encounter spotpassed special mii's. I've had my fully upgraded UFO rod with lvl 2 coastal big catch for weeks now. It's nice because I just dont fish at all if I have no shot at new species (lol at trying to get all As/A+s)

It's great at gaming events from my experience.
Just became slightly easier to play with the release of tubehax and play coin setter.

I seriously still don't understand why people think nothing of cheating for Streetpass achievements. It strikes me as totally pointless and only devalues the achievements of people who don't cheat.
Because its so easy now.

A shame there's no new puzzles... I really could have used one.
I had streetpasses from Korean guys before. I am not sure the letters are shown correctly but the streetpass itself should wirk just fine.
Looking forward to PAX next week! Usually for locations where there's a huge amount of people, I will skip certain games. I'll probably be doing Warrior's Way mostly because I need to raise my army number and get the 300 monarchs fought (which I think I still have like 150ish to go). Still mad on Flower Town that I sold the plant I needed because of a mix up... Might skip that on the trip though, depending on my time. Monster Manor is ONLY if I get a specific colour I need. Maybe I'll do a bit of fishing, but no zombies unless I have a lot of time.
I hope you have fun. I wanted to go to PAX, but just like last year, I couldn't get any passes. At this point, I either need to break and enter the convention, as there is no way I can attend with how impossible it is to purchase those stupid passes.
The only things I need to complete on my end are Ultimate Angler & Battleground Z, as capturing those fish is tricky, especially the golden salmon or the medals for defeating a rare zombie. I was surprised that I had completed Flower Town and got every species & colour flower as early as I did, as I keep hearing stories that people have given up trying to complete that Streetpass game.
If you still wanted to make it to PAX some of the passes are at VERY low prices on eBay right now. They've been delivered to everyone and scalpers are feeling it with it coming up so soon with items in hand that they need to sell. I saw Monday passes going to regular price of $40 OBO. So there's still a chance if you can make it!
How anyone can get every flower colour in Flower Town is WAY beyond me. I don't do home pass either, though, but still the amount of work and chance to get all those, geeze! I just need another birthday cake... can't believe I mixed up the quests and sold it off already v_v...
I had a look, but with living in Canada, I can't afford the shipping fees with those prices. :,(
Well, it's a mixture of streetpassing and saving those streetpass coins to bum rush it until you unlocked everything. You'd be surprised how effective it is.
You can always message the seller to see if they can meet you at the venue (and if all else fails, you can pick some cheap ones in the front there from someone).
I still think I'll pass at getting all the flower colours^^ Just... too much for me and my gigantic backlog to worry about.
If you get free time or just want to lounge, Nintendo always has a little 3DS section with beanbag chairs all over the floor. It's THE best spot to get people because I honestly found it a little more dry than normal when I was there in 2013. Finding a spot in the bean bag chairs can be a chore though and people tend to take up a lot of room... but tournies for stuff like Pokemon and MonHun take place there too, so it's still the best spot to get passes.

Having been to PAX, getting them on the spot didn't seem too difficult. I had to scalp off one of my extras, and I was far from the only one in the same situation.
And besides, there may be threads right here with people offering; that's how my other extra went.
PAX has been great with plaza tickets today. Got tge same birthday as me as well as Feb 29th! However I'm confused on my street pass map ofvthe US. It shows a state below Delaware that I don't have. I street passed Maryland today and says I have it so that's not it. Is.... Washington DC a part of the map? I sure hope not... Just trying to figure out what that state is just below Maryland and Delaware.

Yes, DC is part of the map. So is Puerto Rico.
The state immediately south of Maryland is Virginia. Maryland is a little oddly shaped though; either due to the low resolution of the screen or it was distorted so DC would appear as one of the sections (it's otherwise way too small to show up).
It's probably DC then. It's basically the tail end of Maryland. Geeze I thought Puerto Rico would already be a pain to get. DC? I doubt I'll get that one any time soon :/
Yikes even using HomePass getting the mystery fish is a pain. I've burned through enough people that I have a +25 UFO Rod with a level 1 6+ Big Catch skill.
Side note, anyone playing Ultimate Angler, consider keeping whatever 3* rod you have when you get your first UFO rod and planning out how to upgrade to at least a +20 on the first go, anything else will leave you with a weaker rod than you had.

Anyone else annoyed by multiple streetpasses of the same person counting multiple times in your queue but not actually benefiting you? Like you don't get to get 3 puzzle pieces, and 3 people in the games, etc. Just get one and he/she high fives a few times. I found this one dude 3 times that walks up and down my street because my 3DS finds him and I don't check every single time. I think it should either not count against our 10 for repeats, or allow us to have it count multiple times for everything.
It can be beneficial for some street pass games though.Currently it's something I'll need for Monster Manor since I still need like 20 puzzle boxes, which I believe are received only by people you've street passed a bunch. Question on it: I'm getting close to the 30th floor but haven't yet got all the puzzle boxes, does it just reset when you get there and start back at floor 1? Was trying to get all the tickets before I get there but looks like it's not going to happen (still need that last gold ticket too, but that will come in time).
Forgot to mention with PAX I received a nice haul of international passes
Another Australia region (3 total now!) and of all the places in Canada I didn't expect to get, after getting Quebec finally, I ended up getting Yukon and Northwest Territories! Not that it helps me with the accomplishment of my own country, but awesome that I almost completed Canada at least (Nunuvit and PEI should be fun to get though...) I'm almost halfway done with Japan too.Birthdays will still be a bit tough, as I'm getting so close with those and every month has only a couple days I need, but no months fully completed yet.
You have the option to start over, which is fun since you get to keep a gun so its comical going up the first few levels. You also get a nice chance to make some big rooms again while you finish up the tickets.

I think you misunderstand. You're talking about just passing people multiple times. I'm talking specifically passing people multiple times between checks. So like if you pass the same person 5 times without opening the queue, you'll only have 1 person high fiveing you 5 times but only really being able to do anything for you once, taking up your streetpass spots.

JP 3DS picked up a Picross 2 puzzle sometime in the last day or two. 15 pieces with no pinks.
Took 98 play coins to get 14 pieces .-. The straggler was the bottom right piece, yet again.

I am in Germany and get McD's spotpasses from time to time, but several times I walk into a McDonald's hang out for a bit (or even eat) and leave with no spot passes. There's specifically one in the center of town that never give me any spot passes. There was another one near the highway that used to give me spot passes even when going through the drive-thru, but that hasn't given me anything in a while. Both of these are on the spot-pass map. I don't visit many other McD's frequently enough to know about it, but I do know I've gotten them every now and then.
