So wait a second. I always thought that i wasn't allowed to use more than 20(25) miis in general.
But your post makes it sound like rehirering one mii over and over again does only count as one.
so, going in, slash the enemy, exit to quest menu, rehire the same lvl 7 mii, continue quest, slash enemy again....and so on, only counts as one mii?
i need to know that, 'cause i fucked up the second silver key twice now.

I don't know if it counts as one mii if you exit back to the quest menu, according to other posts here. However, I do know you are able to kill the last boss in around 19 turns if you do use the same level 7 mii anyway, so you get the same result.

Is there a reason that I cannot hire my other 3DS's mii in streetpass plaza? I have a level 7 mii from my launch unit that I streetpass three times a day. But she doesn't show up in the group of miis available to hire (my Old Allies). Everyone else I've passed does though...

Is there a limit to the number of miis that appear under Old Allies? Why wouldn't the one mii I streetpass every day be in that list?!

Chopper - i dont know if this helps, but when i transferred to my XL, i ran into a (somewhat similar?) glitch where i coudlnt streetpass people id met before. i switched my mii's hat (and then back later) and now everything's fixed. it was weird.

the only person i couldnt rehire was stupid reggie, cause id made the mistake of sending him to the mii maker/editor, and when they come back, apparently you cant rehire them.

yeah, i basically have half of both NSMB2 and Kirby Collection. by the zelda concert here in december, they'll be long done, i imagine - fortunately we should have Paper Mario and a few WU ones by then (NSMBU, Pikmin 3 etc). it sucks going from like 1-3 passes every other week or so, to nearly 200, then nothing again till the next convention or something, heh. at least there's time for more puzzles!

god i hope i tie up find mii 2 at this thing though. how many paths are there total?

It does help, thanks. What I meant was how the other puzzles, when complete, allow you to view a scene in 3D that you can rotate around. I had wondered if someone somewhere modelled a Big Mac.

I'm not sure what you mean. Each turn adds to the Heroes Met counter, even if it's the same Mii over and over again. The Golden Key only counts how many you use for the last last boss, not for the entire run.

7 is the highest so you're already maxed out with him.

I am color blind and I always have a hard time using the correct color Mii when the Find Mii needs a specific magic.

It's not optimal, but I think the text does a pretty good job of describing what you need to know in scenarios where colors matter; e.g. "The ghost has a yellow shield!", "Red magic deals fire damage", etc. The easiest way to determine what color Mii is currently on deck is to highlight Magic and read the description of what you'll get. If you're teamed up and have no option to perform Magic, then the two Miis you have teamed are not the same color.

Because you're streetpassing them everyday. We ran into that issue when Reggie's Lvl. 5 Mii came through SpotPass. We couldn't rehire him until the next day. Since you're streetpassing everyday, that's probably why. Try advancing the system clock one day, and see if they're hireable now.

Just closing StreetPass Mii Plaza via the Home button and launching it again should be sufficient.

If you can go to a big event like PAX, PAX East, Anime Expo, or Otakon, you'll have them all in a single day as long as you keep your queue clear.

Okay. New question.

I'm having quite alot of fun abusing my launch unit in order to farm coins and ship pieces over to my XL on a daily basis. Don't judge me. But I was wondering: once I've done all I can with the puzzles on both units (ie. collected all the blue pieces), which puzzles will I be able to chance upon if I reset my launch unit back to factory settings?

I know that a number of puzzles have been added through firmware updates, and more have been distributed via spotpass. So if I keep resetting my launch unit, could I be lucky enough to unlock those puzzles, of which I have no pieces, in the UK. I know Fire Emblem and McDonalds aren't available to me, but in theory I could unlock the rest on my own, right?

I've heard of people doing that, and it's supposedly a very long and tedious process. It should work, though. However, whether it will be a new puzzle of not is random, so could spend several minutes resetting the system just to end up with a puzzle piece you already have.

I think it's only the Pilotwings and Star Fox puzzles I need. Does each unit get to start with two puzzles? I forget. One to start, and another delivered by Spotpass?

IIRC, it takes about 8 hours for a streetpass to cool down. Mii Plaza does not require a visit to the plaza gate to streetpass again; a single 3DS can be in the queue multiple times (and in the gate, you'll see your Miis high-fiving each other multiple times instead of once). In theory the only way you would not streetpass each other again after the cooldown is if one of you have a full queue; in practice, lots of things can go wrong and it isn't a bad idea to clear out the queue anyway.

I went to the Zelda Symphony in Toronto on Saturday and was getting streetpasses faster than I could clear them. I think my final count for the day was around 87. It was the best night ever.

I had pretty good success at the same show, somewhere around 50 streetpasses. All my puzzles and hats are cleared now, so I hope we receive Find Mii III and a few new puzzles before the Wii U is out. Also if you're from the city, come check out the Toronto thread. I'm sure you streetpassed with some of us.
