3DS Streetpass Experiences

Streetpassed about 6 or 7 people at the All Things Go Fall Classic music festival in northeast DC yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise (except for the guy whose streetpass message asked if I was into furries)... Somehow I actually managed to get 2 of them twice, despite it being from the same event. I also like how even though I'm only playing the demo for Bravely Default, I was still able to pick up streetpasses with it (2 here, to be specific)

Was randomly browsing the German tomodachi life site today and landed on the Nintendo zone hotspot finder page

and I see this:

Which basically means that around ~1400 German McDonald's establishments now finally function as a StreetPass Relay!

This is such a great news!
Funny. I am in Canada and walked into a local McD or two to collect streetpass. However, unlike before, nothing happened. I wondered if McD here stopped the relay...

Has anyone ever had issues with StreetPassing someone? I used to get a streetpass from my daughter every 8 hours but for the past few days, I'm not getting anything. I still get passes from my homepass relay. I haven't tried powering off/on my 3DS yet to see if it makes a difference. Her 3DS has been on/sleeping and she claims that she still get streetpasses from me.

I'd say the relay is the problem. Relays always mess up local Streetpasses. You can also attempt changing your outfit (and you should change your outfit before going to the gate in order to get more Fantastics anyway).

If there is a Smash Brothers puzzle I bet it'll be a giant Kirby taking up 90% of the screen with just a couple of other character silhouettes in the background.

I've been out of the Street Pass game for a few months but I decided to revisit the plaza in order to clear the new Kirby puzzle and the Mega Man puzzle. Each has relatively few pieces so the going has been quite fast. My goal is to be done with both of them before NYCC hits in a few weeks. In general I don't want to do too much street passing while I'm there as I kind of regret spending as much time on it as I did last year.

Speaking of NYCC, I think I'm going to limit my street passing to KI:U and Smash. Smash is coming out in the US one week before the show and I expect that there will be an unlimited number of potential local multiplayer opponents. Smash will be a great way to pass the time while waiting lines.

Think I'm going to try and hit up some relays today and finish the last puzzle. Only need three pink pieces and I'll have them all. I have a Home Depot nearby and a couple McDonald's. Could also run out to a nearby Best Buy.

It's been 7 months for me and since school started my street passes have gone through the roof. I think I can finish all my puzzles before the year ends. Yeahyuh.

I only need one more pink piece for the Kirby Fighters Deluxe/Dedede's Drum Dash puzzle set, but I have already passed 30 people today, and not one had offered one to me.

Took the train from DC to Boston the other day and wound up with a whole bunch of Streetpasses from it; most of which were actually when I was just waiting around in Union Station... I'm getting to the point where people sometimes now no longer have new puzzle pieces for me...

Guessing there is a relay in Union Station somewhere if you ended up with 6+ at once. I actually haven't been there in years... I usually fly to Boston instead.

Thinking there must be a relay at the South Station bus terminal in Boston then, as I ended up with like 9 at once there. Funnily enough, the ones back at Union Station weren't actually all at once though; I actually picked up new ones as I was waiting and checking back periodically...

i finally bought the streetpass games. will be fun to get everything done to get new hats!

i saw my friend play them but he's really bad at games and made them all look really hard. like he doesn't pay attention to instructions for things and then whines because he can't make things work.

Hard to say which game I like more right now.

Thinking about taking time on Saturday a few times per month and getting tags from relays. I want all the puzzle pieces and now with the other games it might be fun to have a healthy influx of tags once a week.

Doing the Universal Horror Nights thing tonight and I'm hoping to get the last Mega Man piece and at least the pinks for the 80th Kirby puzzle.

Not holding my breath though. :/

I hate having to replay the entire stage again on Mii Force if I get hit. I streetpass myself twice a day and I already can't stand this shit.

Unless you enjoy the challenge you should either wait until you have more passes queued or spend some play coins to get additional recruits. You can play with up to 10 recruits, increasing both your firepower and the number of hits you can take.

Yeah it was a grand old time when I hit up the relays on Saturday like I normally do. But the daily tags of myself I'm not sure. Maybe just use it as a recon mission of sorts so I know what to expect from the level and the bosses and just focus on clearing missions on Saturday when I get multiple tags from relays.

You could also just use the daily tags to farm stage 1-1 since one of the plaza tickets requires you to clear something like 180 sessions in total. Also, no reason not to use play coins since you'll earn more per day than you need.

Omg

It finally happened

I grew the 80th plant!

Now I can stop playing the plaza games

I feel like I'll grow the 80th plant before I collect all the gems, beat an army 1 1/2 and twice the size of mine, and get the second plaza ticket on a diamond (I think it was?) chest :/

I can tell you right now I did all those things before growing the 80th plant, and I started all four games at the same time.

The game took pity on me and finally gave me a seed with 100% chance of being the final flower.

My 347th growth.

I do not remotely have all the gems (missing seven tickets, hello accursed Mii Force) but totally got 80 plants done before the armies. Maybe the second ticket, not sure on that one. I had to purposefully lose to a max army to shrink my army down else the twice the size ticket would have been impossible.

And yet after all this, I continue to play the garden game because I. Still. Haven't. Gold. Medaled. Three. Jobs. *RAGE* I'm gonna have every color done before I pull that off -_-

I don't even care about getting all the plaza tickets/hats. All I know is that I'm freeeee.

...

New plaza games pls.

Got like 350 out of ~1100 pieces of the puzzles. Come on university people, bring your 3DS' to class! Sometimes I'm lucky and can get 10 street passes while on bad days I get none.

The plant game overwhelms me. I took a job to grow a plant for someone and I have no idea how to make sure that I do. I just planted the seed I got for the job but I'm not sure I'm doing things right.

Yeah Mii Force is pretty fun when you have more than one tag. I had three including myself and dominated 2-3. Think I'm going to focus on using my play coins on that to make it fun. As addicted as I already am to hiring investigators for the monster manor one.

I check my status, and it looks like I'm already at the 75th plant, with a bunch of seeds in my box that have a chance at growing several more new breeds. I still have those jobs to grow specific plants, but some of them I haven't grown yet. Those will probably be a little tougher for me.

Surprised there's no puzzle for Smash Bros.

Anyway for those living in countries with no easy SP, they generally have groups.

I got a feeling the Mega Man puzzle counts as the Smash puzzle, which would be stupid, but Japan would definitely have it by now if it were coming.
Some have come after-the-fact. There is no logic to Nintendo's streetpass puzzles. My guess is that it just left up to the individual teams that work on the games (though I guess the Megaman one is special).

Took my 3DS out to Bratislava in Slovakia and got a hit. Back to the hotel all excited and the person is from ... the UK. FML.

Streetpass is pretty much non-existant in the UK for me and even when I'm abroad, there's hardly anything.

I now have 700 puzzle pieces and I've done with without going to a big convention like PAX or Dragon Con or something.

How am I supposed to beat the first boss in Monster Manor without having the bosses weakness? Is there any way I can fight monsters over and over to level up weapons? Or am I stuck doing 1 damage and dodging everything?

edit: I beat him with some level 4 weapon doing 9 damage a shot. It wasn't really his weakness I don't think but it was still not a super long fight.

Being able to dodge/defend is important. I just cycle through my weapons until I find one that is effective. As you progress through the game, you'll probably end up just favoring one particular weapon that is leveled to the max.

Totally tired of having my 3DS with me in town & always getting barely any passes in a day, i have finally decided to build a spillpass. I have all the plaza games but barely play them as i never get anyone & using play coins feels like a hollow experience.

Considering i import from Japan & i live in the UK i have no chance of getting passes for the games i own unless im near a relay so im happy to cheat the system with a homepass generator especially one that fires out so many in a short space of time.

If I take my 3DS with me when I pop into town I always come back with the maximum ten people found.

In a few months I'll be travelling to work via public transport so my 3DS and streetpass will come in handy then.
