3DS Streetpass Experiences

Finally finished NES Remix. I currently have 20 pieces left between Captain Toad and Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter pink pieces are still hard to come across for me; I've only seen two people with them (and I had to skip one in order to get my final NES Remix piece).
In my case I'm not even getting people with the puzzle. This also adds even more to getting a lot of travelers with nothing (I hate, hate, hate how this ups the travelers number, I got lots of my pieces via play coins and I'm proud of that and I'm just watching that margin get eroded). Last queue I did get to finish NES Remix panel though, neat animation and fun hidden things.

I have about 200+ play coins... I'm looking forward to BURN'EM ALL on puzzle pieces this evening!

... and use some for Mii Force.

Nope. I got the pass at my local Home Depot. It doesn't look like an official Nintendo employee or someone like that. Odd.

That's probably the most probable answer. I don't think the 3DS is "hacked" and there are people out there creating their own Miis. Have you ever seen that posted or reported that people can even do that? I've never heard of such a thing: people "hacking" StreetPass Plaza.

I StreetPassed someone from Belize during World StreetPass Weekend. The region was Caye. How many regions are in Belize and what are they called?

Darn, my 3DS died while I was out street passing today. I did get 8 at least on my first run. I wonder if you even can receive street passes when the red blinking light is on? I've always wondered, but never wanted to drain the battery further to find out.
I got the chance to try this last night while my light was blinking. I received passes but didn't send them. Of course the latter could just be the good old Streetpass gremlins at work or if the range is reduced or the frequency.

I also have a theory about out why progress is so slow on the MH Puzzle. The default view seems to show new pieces for the newest (rightmost) puzzle. Since the puzzles are sorted Chronologically the MH puzzle is very old so many people just don't notice the pieces (as the view will only be default once everything else is done, which will be a long time for all but the fewest of players), this is going to make purple pieces spread slowly.

Yeah, i still haven't received one purple piece for the MH puzzle. I do things the old fashion way and pass by actual people. I know, a shock. Nintendo needs to send out another Gold Pants Mii to get the MH ball rolling.

Interesting. Yeah when I checked my 3DS later that day, it was already blinking and I still passed some familiar faces that I pass by every time I am in that area, so I guess it works till it's dead and off.

As for the MonHun puzzle, I've actually been running into more people that are working on that than Captain Toad or NES Remix. Already have a couple pink pieces on it too!

I'm a bit annoyed that the plaza straight up stops counting fantastics once you hit 1000. Won't go any higher.

Apparently it also used to do the same thing at 200, as I had a friend complain that he had a bunch of fantastics just go into the ether until they raised the cap.

to any person who i have accidentally rated "okay" instead of "fantastic"

I am sorry :(

I wish I could take it back! sometimes i speed through it and forget when i have a bunch of streetpasses

I did this once and it was to a co-worker. I felt so bad. I should have explained.

I've done it a couple times by mistake and then I feel bad...

I remember reading when I was last at PAX 2 years ago, how people were getting pissed that people were getting lazy and weren't giving them fantastics. Then I started noticing the trend when I'd walk by people for the third time...

My big goal now is to win 50 battles in Warrior's Way. I know it's not in a row, but since I started losing I was at 30ish, and should be getting very close to 50. I made a similar mistake with the "fantastic" thing by turning away a monarch that I could fight :/ Getting harder to find monarchs period right now.

I'm pleased to be doing my part with my army of 700 troops (I want to get it a lot lower than that but clearing out the plaza takes too long) rather than cowardly uninstall the game once all plaza tickets are obtained option

How do you even gain the status of "monarch" anyways? I've always wondered, especially since their army numbers are all over the place.

I'm glad that I finally 100%ed all the games outside Puzzle Swap (and Hard Arcade Mode in Mii Force, but that's suicidal). Going through Streetpasses only takes a couple of minutes now.

I can't wait till I get to that point! Very close on Mii Force and Flower Town.

Everyone who owns the game is a monarch, and the army size and ratio presented is simply their last used army/ratio. If you pass someone who hasn't played the game, you simply get their plaza population worth of troops.

I have 1416 out of 1422 puzzle pieces. Just need the pink for MH4U.

Also need two more tickets: The one for breaking both hands of a boss in Mii Fighter (Need tips on that one...) and the one for beating the Arcade Mode. Other then that.. that's all I have left.

Ohhhhh.... I always figured it was based on what tickets they had/if they beat the game, or something like that. I figured more people I ran into owned the Mii Plaza games.

His attacks cycle.
When he first attacks with the hands you'll just have time to destroy one. If you avoid the rest of his attacks and don't destroy him he'll eventually begin attacking you with the other hand. Destroy it then for the ticket :)

Incidentally, when I say 100%, I also mean things like getting all flowers and flower colors in Flower Town (so you get the golden watering can), having 9,999,999 troops in Warrior's Way, and filling in each floor completely in Monster Manor. =P

Wait.. I thought I had to destroy at the same time........ Okay. That is MUCH easier. o_O

Oh for a 100% complete >_> I've almost got all the flower types, but there is NO WAY I am going all of the colours!! I don't know how people did it...

Warrior's Way, I'm going to be working on the online fights for quite a while (getting to 50 is hard enough, let alone 300...), but Monster Manor has been pretty easy for filling the floors. Been doing that to hopefully get more silver chests, as well as upgrading my weapons.

I could do all the colors pretty easy since I have a second 3DS and therefore can manipulate which color Miis I receive. It would just be a matter of buying a seed, planting it with my 2nd Mii, growing it, and repeating ad nauseum. Haven't brought myself to care enough to do it yet.

The most visible effect is the color of watering can you have, which -does- carry over to when you are in other peoples' gardens, apparently... but I assume pretty much everyone lets that sequence run in fast forward without watching it to notice a detail like that.

I got a pass from someone in FL named Sponge who is a special streetpass Mii. I wonder how he hacked his system to do this?

I was checking out the StreetPass Mii Plaza board over at gamefaqs and it looks like someone created a thread on Sponge.
.

Apparently there are a few other hacked Special Miis (Chù Tri, Spikey) out in the wild.

Lately, I've been trying to beat Arcade Mode on Normal/Easy. Wow, that's hard. I guess I need to focus on surviving instead of trying to rack up points. My high score so far is about 200K and I got to the Amusement park area. Wow, that's going to be tough to get all the way to the end.

Any tips/suggestions for beating arcade mode?

Big thing is just to practice. I left arcade mode for after I had gotten all the individual stage accomplishments (all-gem, no-miss, etc.) and knowing each map from that helps a lot in the full run. It's also good to load up on "safe" colors, like light blue for eliminating fire, light green for quick auto-aimed attacks, and white for eliminating bullets. I made sure I had all three colors available and switched out which of the three was in the lead as the situation demanded.

I have 100% MiiForce other than Arcade Mode so I'm familiar with it and the strategies. I think my problem is being too aggressive in gem collecting and making stupid mistakes.

I'm still trying to figure out whether it's better to have a single level 3 or to spread the weapons out. The problem is that I tend to get a lot of useless weapons like fire or bombs or bouncing balls since red/green/black seem to be popular.

I've been trying Arcade Mode as well lately. It's not easy and the first time I was loaded up with some pretty bad colour choices, and played some levels I haven't worked on for a while. Now, I just need to practice, practice, practice. Second run had some really good colours and I made it to 3-2 I believe it was. You just can't make mistakes and sometimes you do miss a stray bullet when there is a lot of crap going on in the screen :/

It is time consuming, so I try and save it for last now for when I get a lot of time.

I've got a feeling they've been 'saving' the Smash puzzle for us until the 13th, so it'll be the first new puzzle on the New systems.

Wishful thinking...?
I'm personally still clawing for Monster Hunter and Captain Toad pieces.

I'm guessing we'll see it with the Mewtwo launch (/whatever dlc might come).

My first and only Streetpass was with my roommate when we bought our 3DSs on launch day. Haven't streetpassed or seen another handheld in the wild since.

I have no idea what 'puzzles' are.

Make sure you've A) created a Mii in Mii Maker, B) gone through the startup process in StreetPass Mii Plaza, including turning on its StreetPass/SpotPass features. There are two games provided free (Puzzle Swap, which is regularly updated via SpotPass, and Find Mii, which has your collected Miis traversing a dungeon to rescue the monarchy and collect hats) and four games available as DLC.

Hmmm that's a good bet!
The Kirby eShop games release the day before the N3DS launch (in EU) so we'll probably (I'm hoping) get that puzzle then instead.

Got the 9999 StreetPass tags accomplishment at McDonalds this morning.

There's a -ton- of hidden accomplishments under it; do we know exactly how many tags you have to get to get them all?

Well, got all the Pink Monster Hunter 4 pieces quite fast. Missing some others (keep skipping that Sonic game one, that's the least interesting for me... :() And some blue ones. :(
