3DS Streetpass Experiences

well, after losing all my streetpass data, this is good news. I guess I shall rebuild thanks to this new update :D

Yay, free game! I'll wait for some impressions before making my choice :P

Also, I don't really understand how the new queue works. Do we still have the same 10 Miis limitation but have "waiting room" for up to 100 people to be sent?

I just shipped my 3DS for repair yesterday. Fuck. :(

Lol, me too. Waiting for impressions will make the wait shorter (I hope)...

Wait, did they increase the number of active Streetpass titles? 12 is really limiting when you own a lot of games. (40 carts + various eShop titles in my case.)

Somehow my new 3DSXL died after 13 months. :( very worried I've lost streetpass data.

Man, I already spend too much time in Streetpass when I should be playing better 3DS games.... I can't wait to see those impressions.

When they said these new games were short they were not joking. The stock trading one lasts about a minute. You have a preview forecast of the days trade. The more miis you hire the more details this preview has (plus they bark out warnings of drops and rise during the session). Then is the session itself you buy and sell them real time (either touch screen or buttons). My hired dogs were not 100% accurate but mostly there. Also in the stock room you can see cats and dogs at the same time which I don't think I've seen before in these games (usually you only see what your preference is set to).

Hiring Miis costs the same amount of play coins though which is lame for most players (20 play coins for 10 miis that can only be used in one game, surprised they didn't add a all games option under Streetpass VIP Premium as that needs more annoying cash grabs). I do have access to homebrew so I can give myself Play Coins at will...

From the direct footage it looked like you can stockpile the ones you have for a later period but it is the same 10 limitation. I don't have Premium to try it (it's a premium only feature because spending €30 or however much on the games doesn't give you any dignity in this world) and besides my unplayed batch was voided by the update (if I had any at the gate they would be let in automatically).

Nope and they never added a good management option either (I should be able to put Streetpass titles into an inactive pile rather than have to delete them then reactivate them from inside the game when I want to reactivate them).

Love the new update, just wish more people carried their 3DSes around with them. Been light even in the thick of NYC lately.

EDIT: I just updated the Plaza on an old 3DS I don't use much and got a "bonus chance" with one of my tags in Puzzle Swap. It gave me 11 pieces at once! Never saw that happen before; neat!

The new games are $2.99 each, and $8.99 for the bundle. Pretty good, I'd say.

I purchased them all, $15.30NZ for the whole bundle.

My family are hardout into Streetpass, we've been all in since launch and will continue to do so with every bit of content they keep adding. :D

If anyone was wondering:

Slot Car Rivals and Market Crashers are by Good-Feel
Ninja Launcher is by PROPE
Mii Trek is by ARZEST
I can't check who did Feed Mii because there's UI blocking where the text is

Feed Mii is also PROPE.

I have a feeling less people will choose Market Crashers, but Slot-Car Rivals also looks like silly fun.

We have also reached peak Salesman Bunny with it telling us about how the stock market works in its sales pitch.

I downloaded Stock Car for free and purchased the $8.99 bundle, which is a steal! The Puzzle Swap bonus chance sounds awesome, that'll help out those without Homepass set up!

I'm off to my local Home Depot to load up on Mii's, I'll report back on how the 100 Mii thing works since I have VIP.

If I already bought the Premium Update (that includes saving Miis with VIPs, Birthdays and listening StreetPass games' music with headphones while system closed features), does that mean I can get the 100-tags-in-one-go for free?

I wonder how that works with its games. Do they play a set of 10 Miis and then another set of 10 or less Miis if you StrretPassed 10-20 Miis/players in one go?

Does Home Depot still work for you? I haven't gotten any passes from Home Depot in months.

Home Depot hasn't worked for me either in a while.

There's one near my home that did work, but admittedly I haven't been there in a while. I'm going to try the one near my office and see if it works. Usually I go to Best Buy or McDonald's and get a couple Streetpasses, anywhere between 5-10.

Damn, I'm so glad I got the N3ds bundle with Mario. Perfect time to upgrade from my broken original XL.

Streetpass update? My favorite thing. Still not done with all the titles I bought.

Well, it's a useful feature but not one I'd pay for. I just want to go to conventions and not worry about having to check my 3DS and clear the queue every 10 minutes :/ I guess the only way to change that is via a system update and thus can't make it a pay feature.

It's best to consider VIP its own game (and it really is if you consider it has exclusive plaza tickets) that launched aside Fishing and Zombies.

Dang, first time I leave my 3DS home in months, if not years, and they update the plaza games.

Also this is going to come in super handy on an upcoming Disneyland trip...hoping to get loads of Streetpasses there...wish the extended queue feature was available during last year's WDW trip.

I'm surprised to see new Streetpass this late in the 3DS' life. I downloaded the free car one. I'll have to think about the rest. It has been rare to get 10 passes let alone 100 recently.

I bought the new games despite me being soured on the whole StreetPass thing when my last 3DS had an issue where the repair required a change that made me lose the years of hats, puzzle pieces, etc. that I had gained. Still pretty bitter about it, but I can't pass up new games.

Welp, I'm back in. Premium and Pack 3 bought.

I figured I'd be carrying the 3DS around desperately hoping for Dragon Quest VII streetpasses, so I might as well use this as a last hurrah.

Is the Nintendo Zone Finder page messing-up, or are the only relays in the UK at GAME stores now?

Relays seem to be broken for a while now in the Netherlands. Sucks because that was the only way for me to get street passes.

I'm confused in the new system of streetpass limit

so essentially, you can now get more than 10 miis, but you can only play 10 at a time?

so the total cost of all games is 12 dollars (bundle 3 + the free game you didn't pick) right?

the 3rd bundle is $9/

And yes the line thing is correct, you can add more people to your line when loading it up, but can still only play with 10 at a time.

yeah, 9 bucks + 3 bucks from the other game you didn't pick

And cool, I was somewhat confused in how the direct stated it, like at first I thought you had to "open" your 3DS to put the existing 10 miis into the waiting area lol

no, the bundle includes the game you did not pick, you save $3 for getting the bundle.
