3DS Streetpass Experiences

Not sure if already discussed but has anyone activated StreetPass in their 3DS Sound app, and added music to it....?

... you can share music through StPass apparently, and get compatibility and Top 10 hits data from each other

OR SOMETHING like that

ok this is weird, its 8:30 in the morning, i just woke up by a phone call, after the phone call i check my 3DS, ofcourse the green light wasnt on, but when i see the menu screen, i got new notification, it says i just got hit by somebody street passed me! i checked the time it says i got hit 15 mins ago! so someone actually walk passed me while i was sleeping? and i lived on a loft on the third floor of a house! i have no idea how i get hit.

how long does it take the 3DS to tell you you get a street pass after it received the information from other? because i took my 3DS to work last night and hide it under the desk, so i dont know if i get street pass by people in work last night and the 3DS didnt tell me until this morning, or someone actually just walk pass my house and we exchange data while i was sleeping!

I'm having odd experiences with Streetpass myself. I co-worker had a 3DS on him so we try to streetpass each other and despite us both having all our setups right, we get nothing. I later checked it at a GameStop with an employee. The light didn't go on, but when I got home his streetpass worked. Surprisingly, he has the exact same name and phrase as me.

Why would'nt the first one work? We even stuck them right up next to each other.

Were you connected to the internet while using StreetPass? I was having issues with two friends the other night, but after I deleted my internet connection settings and it switched to StreetPass mode, it worked. I'm not sure why this would matter. :/ It was extremely frustrating.

Enjoy your creepy stalker!

Took my 3DS for it's first walk around town today (Bournemouth, UK) and got 1 hit.

Nice little feature this, can definitely see it getting people to carry it around more.

I've been wondering if it prevents constant streetpassing with long-term-in-range people. For example, if you live in an apartment, you don't want to keep streetpassing the kid next door, so it might have some algorithms for preventing that sort of thing.

Is there some sort of time limit as to when you can use Miis found through Streetpass in the Puzzle/Find Mii games?

I found two Miis while in school on Thursday and I tried to use them today but the games said I haven't found any Miis lately. Do you have to use the Miis the same day or something?

You have to use them after you open the system or they just become statues.

Oh, so you mean like the next time I use my 3DS after getting a streetpass I need to use them then?

so today is the first weekend after 3DS released in NA, (i assume no body has set up the mii plaza last Sunday when it launch)
where will you guys go and will you expect some hits today if you are going out?

its extremely nice weather here in Toronto today and i think i will go out with my 3DS with me all day, hopefully i will get some hit!

I went to the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy concert in NYC last night. When I got to the theater, I saw some guy with a 3DS so I asked him if he got my Mii. He did, and I looked at my system and I got three. Then a little while later I saw I got another two.

Then when I got back to the car after taking the subway for awhile, I saw I had TEN new Miis, including two guys from Mass.

Very awesome. :-)

Picked up a man with a beard in Cambridge this morning. Still no kiosk data, which I'm sorta pleased about.

I hope someone tests the range necessary, time/speed needed (do cars pick up from passing traffic?), and other information soon.

I thought it's just that you have to use them when you launch street pass plaza? I was thinking to 'save up' some for streetpass quest

I have a question about Streetpass. Lego Star Wars has a Street Pass function but there is no explanation that I saw in the manual. Do you have to be in sleep mode while the game is loaded to earn anything? Would you also have to pass someone who also was doing the same thing? It looks like there are characters you can unlock with coins from Streetpass but it's not very clear.

For games, you just have to have the StreetPass mode enabled and if you pass someone else who has the same game you'll trade something.
In SSF4 it's a figurine battle. Not sure what it is in LSW.
The game does not have to be in the system or running.

Oh my.

oh my god after days of getting none i just got 10 in central london in about 2 hours :D seems to max out at 10 per game per 'session'

I'm taking the train to the baseball game today. If I don't get a hit, well, I won't really be surprised. I guess I'll be happy if my system doesn't turn itself off.

For the streetpass things for a game like Street Fighter, you don't have to have the actual game in the cartridge for it to work do you?

Just need to have activated streetpass in it's figurine collection menu. Should then work no matter what game you have in.

Ok thanks, it shows up in my streetpass settings so I should be all set.

Does anyone know btw if there is a limit of how many Miis you can meet at a time?

I'm thinking about cases like the gamescom this year where you'll get hundreds of hits for sure.

That's what I've been thinking. Can anybody deny/confirm this?
