3DS Streetpass Experiences

Finally got a Street Fighter streetpass fight today. I've passed like 11 people at my job and more than one person who plays SF, but it seems many don't have it set-up in game. Oh, and it was a NOA person!

Also got a "fantastic" rating from someone and a personal message of "Who are you?!" Hello love connection!

Today I had my first non-prompted StreetPass experience. Actually, it was only like half way to a StreetPass experience.

So I'm sitting at work in my office listening to music on the 3DS, and some HUGE fucking abominable snowman dude walks by. He's like 400lbs, around 6 and a half feet tall and his face is covered with a neckbeard so epic that merely looking upon it is enough to re-virginize you.

"oh, you got a 3DS! Wanna StreetPass me?"
"not really bu--"
"'Cause yeah my friend said you can Streetpass even when driving a car but that hasn't happened to me yet. I want to win FindMii!"
"That's cool and all however I'm no--"
"Dude, i got a Mario hat. It's so cute but they should let you use it anywhere. If I bring my 3DS by will you StreetPass me..."
"My, uh, StreetPass isn't reall--"
"...because it's much quicker than having to spend Pedometer coins. Plus, you know, I'll be helping you to beat it too!"
"I mean i don't have much of an interest in do--"
"So you'll be here tomorrow in this office? Sweet! Can't wait to get my first real tag!"
"Yah i"ll be here tomorrow but I'm not sure I'm going to bring my 3D--"
"Also, we can StreetPass each other once a day to keep leveling up our heroes! Isn't that cool?"
*facepalm*

Had my first re-encounter with someone via Streetpass today. Gave him a fantastic rating, but I don't know when or if he'll ever see it cause we would have to tag each other again for him to see the rating. We'll see

Also, my school is gonna be hosting a pinball expo next week for four days

Might be a good opportunity to get a bunch of StreetPass tags so I'll check it out

I don't see the appeal of Streetpass if I used it like that either. To me it's just a novel little gift for the next time I turn the 3DS on, not some treasure hunt where I go out of my way to find hits every day.

Hahaha

OK who is it, because that sounds like someone on GAF.

Had my first female streetpass today. I stopped at Walmart and passed a Japanese girl. Best part is she started the SMG2 panel for me so now I'm working on two of them (along with Kirby).

Who do I have to blow to get a Streetpass up in this bitch? I am seriously the only person in this part of town with a goddamn 3DS.

Oh my... I haven't played Puzzle Swap to be honest (I want to finish Find Mii first)...

But I didn't know the puzzle panels were animated. I just saw this... I can't believe that the 3DS is doing that in real time!

Looks very nice!

That's pretty neat; didn't know the puzzles were animated. Too bad it'll take years for me to see this in person. But I did get a SMG puzzle piece today instead of the usual Pikmin piece. It's a start!

I've got two streetpass notifications so far [I go to school in downtown Toronto, Ont]. The first was a girl named Cookies, the second was some other dude. I tried doing Find Mii which is fun, haven't tried that puzzle thing. Probably will now.

Also, I was wondering -- how do you rate the Mii's/people you've connected with? I haven't really looked at the options on the 3DS but I don't remember seeing it anywhere on the menu.

I think you have to meet them more than once to rate them.

You have to meet the same person at least twice before you can rate/leave a special message.

We're in Toronto as well. Up to 12 passes obtained now from riding the 501 in the morning, and walking around Yonge St a bit.

yeah. In the Zelda one he swings his sword over and over and it contains similarly impressive-for-a-handheld character models. It's obviously just a model in an empty field so they could make it look more impressive than it is but man it just constantly reminds me how much I want them to NOW try a Wind Waker Zelda on the go. Those other pretenders don't exist in my mind.

just got my first streetpass here in melbourne, australia.

opened my 3DS and a guy must've been on the train along the way. frank who plays SSFIV.

very cool experience. nice work nintendo

Yesterday I got my 1st streetpass!

I've been carrying my 3DS around with me at work everyday (I work at a community college) in hopes that I would get a hit but to much avail I got nothing..

Then yesterday I kid I went to highschool with came in to deliver a box of something and when I got home I noticed I had a hit! :)

Then today, I get home and notice the green light...another hit!

Hahah its the dumbest thing, to get excited over, but I cant help it lol

Yonge St and Eaton Center seems to be a popular spot to get streetpasses
I mainly active in the west part of Queen Street, and i never get any tag around this area

I live in a small ass town in Maryland, so I think it'll be awhile before I get one. But, I guess I can still take it out on my runs to see if I get lucky.

Where at? Damn that's three Marylander in like 50 posts

Why wouldn't you do Puzzle Swap while you do Find Mii? Anyone you StreetPass can be used for both, and collecting puzzle pieces is a really quick process.

Even though I haven't gotten a legitimate hit beyond the Best Buy demo unit and the game is ridiculously repetitive and simple, Find Mii is pretty addictive. I actually look forward to spending my ten coins a day to hire heroes. I don't know why. The game isn't that much fun.

Baltimore area, you?

I also live in MD, but on the opposite side of you (close to DC).

I got a streepass on the metro this morning I was shocked but happy. I seem to always get a streetpass on campus.

Yeah, I'm usually around Eaton's Centre [I go to RU] -- so, I'm around that area often, got both my streetpass notifications there.

I hope crab with no shell, I hate trying to crack those things :P

I.... I don't know how to respond to this. Since you should have mastered it if you've lived in MD long enough.

Guess it'll be crab cakes for you. :P

I hate the green and orange guts that come out. lol

Hah, I figured you wouldn't.

MD-GAF needs to organize a meet up some time. Preferably with dozens of crabs!
I would be up for such a thing.

Also I've been to Rising Sun, I think I somehow got dragged to a feed store :lol

Any luck for any new yorkers?

and if it did happen, where?
Some people mentioned Nintendo World Store being a great place. I don't understand why that would be though.

MY LIGHT IS ON!

(Yay, no longer a Streetpass virgin. I wonder when I actually met him. I'll be wandering around now trying to spot anyone who looks like him)

Haha, I'm too lazy to do that. Also I think someone said it messed up their activity log, which I'd personally prefer to keep clean.

I've already done that. Had a brainfart when first setting up the system, set it to April, not March. I wonder if it'll complain at me in a couple of weeks when I hit my first few days again :-)

I could swear I saw someone post here earlier that they Streetpassed someone named "Cookies"
