QR code plz?

I only Streetpassed one Mii so far. It was a couple weeks ago in Rome's Fiumicino airport or Termini train station. An italian guy who seems to enjoy his Nintendogs+cats quite a lot! I don't assume I'll get any unless I'm travelling abroad.

I got a couple while in Hawaii and a few at LAX. I honestly would have had more hits had I brought it along with me. There was a group of Japanese kids at Matsumoto's who all had 3DS's that I missed out on.

The gentleman from Nintendo informed us that the only way to know that these Mii's are legit and are not fakes is that they wear gold pants and you cannot create a QR code for them," wrote Dustin. "Meaning you cannot share these Mii's with other people.
 
I still haven't gotten a single streetpass hit. I've taken the thing to the mall, Gamestop, the theater, around my apartment complex, random retail stores, the library, and school. Nothing.

I'm sure the concept is fantastic in Japan, but this shit is useless in Northern Virginia.

I'm getting them more frequently now. It was months before I got a another hit after launch day.
 
Haven't gotten a hit in weeks :(

I thought I was going to get at least one about two weeks ago since the light did turn green, but all I got from that was a Throwdown challenge for Dimensions
 
Made it past 1,000 StreetPass tags thanks to E3, with a little over 900 Miis in the plaza. I found two Miis with gold pants, a Frank from EA and another I can't recall off the top of my head. I also obtained Miis belonging to Yoshinori Ono and Jeremy Parish.

I walked past Ono and didn't get his pass. Grr. Got Miyamoto though. :)

So did you have to make sure you were checking your street passes often so it didn't reach the ten limit?

Woo! I finished Streetpass Quest! Now I get to...play it all over again! Actually, I really like this. I'll be a bit gutted when I get all the hats.

Yeah, it appears so. I Don't know if they appear at the same rate, but it looks as though I'd have them all after about three runs.

It's a shame Nintendo didn't offer more hats and puzzle panels as part of their E3 offerings. Not to say that Zelda DX's release and the 3D game trailers weren't cool, I was just hoping they'd do something to extend the life of the system's main attractions in terms of the Street Pass functionality.
 
Wow, I got a Samurai Warriors StreetPass hit while dropping my gf off at some random Brooklyn subway stop. I'm shocked.
 
I got my first street pass in a Bookstore! I think I saw the girl I got it from since her avatar looked a lot like her.

lol Her name is Kat and she loves Cats she was probably 15 but she had been playing Links Awakening DX so there is hope for the younger generation.

I was able to get a puzzle piece.. I wish more people would have these things.

edit: i kind of felt like a creepo for being so excited to finally get a street pass and it was a teenage girl.
 
I took my sons (Twins - 14) to Play! A Videogame Symphony last night in Seattle. One of them grabbed their 3DS and ended up getting 30+ hits. He was pretty excited, prior to that he had only seen 2 or 3 random hits since launch.

My other son was pretty bummed that he forgot to grab his before we left, haha.

I wish the 3DS had been out prior to when Video Games Live came to the city I live in. That would have been a smorgasbord of tags.

Ah yes, just checked myself and I got Ono-san and Niitsuma-san's Mii characters as well! :-D

Frank from EA is Frank Gibeau, their executive in charge of branding, etc. :-)
 
So when I went to gamestop to get Ocarina of Time last week I got not one but TWO streetpasses!

Two for Streetpass Mii Plaza and one forcNintendogs.

I am not forever alone! I WON!!!!

Could you take a pic of the Mii character's info/profile? I have a feeling that isn't his Mii. The official ones all have the gold pants (see my posted pic).

It's his personal Mii. The ones with gold pants were promotional E3 Miis setup by NOA.

I actually got Iwata's gold pants Mii from the Nintendo booth while the Nintendo press conference was going on.

My mistake!

Yes, you are correct. I found out that for some reason, Miyamoto-san decided to change his Mii character's name to MiyamoTo, just for E3. I already have his original Mii from an earlier visit from him. I also have Reggie and Iwata-san's Mii characters, which look a lot less like them imo, lol. I apparently also tagged Aonuma-san's as well, which his Mii character's profile is entirely in Japanese. :)

Any SeattleGAF doing the SP event this week? I can certainly make some time to come out...!! :-D
 
I got the system at launch and my only StreetPass encounter was last week at GameStop when I was picking up Ocarina of Time.
 
Finally got my first StreetPass today! Was at the mall and passed someone with a female Mii named Angela. She had been playing with the 3D Pokedex and had cat ears.
 
Two four hour car rides and a trip to Florida and no Street Pass hits.

Ugh, my plaza is going to be empty forever.

Edit: The girlfriend wants to go to the mall tonight...of course I forgot my 3DS at home today of all days.

You should check GAF QR Code thread just to put a few faces in you Plaza for now

thats all I can do right now I see no Streetpass in my future for a week or two

But I really want to do the Find Mii game but the hired help is so terrible.
 
I went to both Distant Worlds concerts in Chicago and managed to snag 75 Streetpass hits! Then I went to the Taste of Chicago the next day, and managed to get another 25 walking around.

All in all, not too bad, and I have 3 puzzles complete, and at least 4 pieces in every other puzzle now.
 
Not a single streetpass yet since launch. I've took it with me to every class in college for all spring, been around a city of 100,000 shopping, and around gamestops. Nobody I know plays any handheld games so I can't even test to see if my system actually works.

Quick question. When you guys open your 3DS from sleep does it look like the streetpass is booting up? I see that everytime and makes me think that it isn't working in sleep mode.
 
I got my first Streetpass tag today - in the train, no less! I was pretty surprised since, well, it's Denmark and I haven't seen many with the 3DS yet. Guess I was lucky. Definitely bringing it along more often.
