It's weird that they would limit that.Tyeforce said:So, it turns out the 99 StreetPass limit for StreetPass Mii Plaza is a lie. It must be some weird bug that some people get that changes the number from 10 to 99, but if you reach 10 Miis it changes back to normal. Happened to me today.

SmokyDave said:None.
Not one.
Only owned the 3DS for a little over a week but I've carried it everywhere. I work in the centre of a big city, I live in a busy area and I spend a lot of time at my girlfriends place which is right in the city centre. I'm coming to the conclusion that nobody in my local area carries a 3DS around.
Mik2121 said:BTW I know this has been talked about before and I believe it's what some of you were talking about a couple posts above, but I still don't understand..
When I get streetpasses and check the messages, it says XX/10 (01, 02, etc..). Does that mean that as soon as I get 10 streetpasses without checking it, I will stop getting them, or the older messages will get deleted but still get the streetpasses themselves?
Also, one day I got like 6 streetpasses, went to the Mii Plaza, did the puzzles and decided to quit. Then when I came back later to do the adventure stuff, I couldn't use those new Miis anymore. What's the deal? You have to use everything as soon as you get them? :/
beje said:- When you hit 10, you stop getting more until you clear them out and play with them. By the time you're doing this, you still can receive more tags, resulting in an arrow appearing in the Mii Plaza interface to check them out without rebooting the app
Mik2121 said:Thanks Beje, that's petty much what I expected. Yesterday when I hit the first 7 street passes, I told me girlfriend to go and have some coffee just so I could check the Miis and do all the mini games. Thankfully my girlfriend doesn't complain, plus I invited her to some coffee, hey!
Anyway... pretty much as I expected from Nintendo. They surely love their half-assed online elements.
Cheers. Everything is enabled at the moment. I'll lurk around a few game stores this weekend and see if I grab anything. I don't like carrying the 3DS around* but I really want to see how this Streetpass thing works. I'm amazed that I haven't had a single hit yet given that I spend so much time surrounded by so many people.radioheadrule83 said:Tips:
Well, for e Find Mii quest thing, they could have it so even if you get 30 street passes, you can only bring 10 at a time, so you need to get through it three times. I sort of understand, but it's still kind of a pain if you ask me...radioheadrule83 said:The reason Street Pass plaza is limited to using 10 miis at a time, and the reason you can only get 10 gamecoins a day - is probably to protect / artificially lengthen the puzzle and find Mii games. If you could just go into the Mii quest with 100 Mii warriors, you'd clear the game in no time... hence, the 10 limit. I do kind of agree with their reasoning there... When you've only got 10 men, you cycle through them checking their t-shirt colours, and strategise as to what order you'll use them in because you want to make every hit or magic spell count. If you had tonnes of them, you'd be less tactical if only just to blast through it...
On other games, such as the data exchanged for Street Fighter / DOA figurine battles, or Ridge Racer ghost data -- the limits are probably more related to putting a cap on the storage those games try and use while you're out and about - so you don't fill your system up with stuff you might not want.

*If the screen-scratching is a myth, I'm a Dutchmans Uncle. Mine is one week and one day old and already I can see lines where my cloth is being pressed between the screens. I really don't feel comfortable pocketing this thing.

Black. I was tempted by the Metallic Red (looks awesome in the flesh) but I stuck with black to match my DS / PSP etc..radioheadrule83 said:Its not a myth, its a reality, but not everyone gets the marks, and few of those that do get marks result in actual lasting damage / scratches from what I can tell. What colour did you get? And whats your friend code?
I reckon I'm going to half-inch some bumpers from an Xbox or my laptop if it gets much worse (or if I lose the separater cloth I'm using). It's not the end of the world, it just makes me a bit iffy about pocketing it. Having said that, I don't normally pocket my handhelds anyway, I play 'em on the sofa.I get some smudges when I pocket it in tight jeans (that's the only circumstances where I do get them, its fine in other pants, in a coat or in a bag), but I've never had any actual scratches, and I've owned mine and carried it everywhere since March. I don't have any screen protectors or use any cloths and its fine. The only blemish I have got is from where I dropped it getting out of the carbig white blotch in the black paint
If you look at the way the inner part of the lid is put together, it seems to me that either the rubber stoppers aren't sufficient on some models, or they've manufactured it as such as that inner panel isn't quite as far back into the lid as it should be (there are maybe not even millimetres of difference in it). I've seen it posted time and again (without confirmation) that the stoppers are different on the newer models (black/blue after a certain date, and the red models)... it wouldn't surprise me.

Stormwatch said:I'm finding that the 10 coin a day limit is actually preventing me from carrying around my 3DS as much as I could. I almost never get Street Passes where I live, so everything I've unlocked has been from getting coins. Once I reach the 10 coins I can't be bothered with carrying around the 3DS for the rest of the day because historically I haven't gotten any hits. I guess if I worked in NYC or went to college I'd be more apt to carry it, but now its more of something I do for special occasions. I bet if they increased that 10 coin limit it would encourage more people to carry it around which would increase the amount of Street Passes.
Cheesemeister said:You're kidding, right? On what, exactly, would you even use coins? I've had 300 coins since March and carry my 3DS just to pick up hits.

That's what the dark room in Find Mii is for. Took me almost two weeks worth of coins to get past it.BGBW said:Nintendo should just make a simple slots game that we can use our coins to gamble with.

Stormwatch said:I don't keep 3DS with me every day, so I don't have a whole bunch. I also keep running into a stream of bad luck with my Puzzles and Find Mii characters. I swear I went through almost 70 coins just to get through the room that required the white Mii to light it up. I also tend to get 1 new puzzle piece for every 5+ old ones when using coins. I've had mine since March as well, but I only completed 1 puzzle and got through the Find Mii section once. Out of curiosity, how may Streetpasses do you have? I only have about 30.
That's StreetPass tags, not Plaza population, right?Cheesemeister said:I'm at 1290.

Holy shit, that's a lot of Miis, lol. I have about as many StreetPass tags as you, but only about 230 Miis in my Plaza.Cheesemeister said:The population is 990.
