Not one single tag from the Tigers/Rangers game. What a bunch of bullshit
Yea you can.Roto13 said:Can you even get street passes when listening to music? I haven't gotten a single one since I started playing mp3's on my 3DS.
SmokyDave said:Still none. Nothing. Nil. Nada. Carry it to work daily, take it to the missus' place, carry it when I'm out shopping. Nothing.
GameCity is on in a couple of weeks. If I don't get any hits then, I'm concluding that nobody else in my city owns a 3DS.

If that doesn't work, you can always try a uni. It's where I got most of mine.
Much as I'd love to loiter around outside schools leering at children, I'm in the office whilst they're in the playground.Murkas said:Have you tried slowly walking near schools to ensure you get a clear connection for streetpass? Not a bad idea but I walk past most of the uni buildings on the way to the missus' place and I've not had a hit yet.If that doesn't work, you can always try a uni. It's where I got most of mine.

I spent all my playcoins on heroes that pretend to be my friends in Streetpass Quest![]()
I thought it was fun. That's when you start learning how to effectively use magic. Purple and green 4 lyfe.Murkas said:I finished the whole of Streetpass Quest using the hired mercenaries, it was not fun, lvl 2 warriors doing no damage for the second half of the game![]()
Yesterday I was at the FS Batman launch, and despite the guy sitting next to me playing ZeldaOOT, no streetpass data.Roto13 said:You know, I took my 3DS to Nuit Blanche (HUGE numbers of people all around downtown Toronto) and Canada's Wonderland and I didn't get anything. Blah. I got most of my Streetpasses in July and I've gotten barely anything since then.
It doesn't say anything about a new Streetpass game, though. (This is from a press release.)Nintendo 3DS System Update: At the end of November, a new system update will deliver a range of cool new features and enhancements, including 3D video capture, which will let users record up to 10 minutes of 3D video and enable people to create their own 3D stop-motion animation videos. The update will also add new puzzles to the StreetPass Mii Plaza and a new dungeon to Find Mii. Other features will be announced in the future.
Ouch, that really sucks. My boyfriend had his 3DS stolen from school a few months back. It really sucks because he lost all of his StreetPasses from Video Games Live!, and he lost three games with it (nintendogs + cats, Pokémon White, and Art Academy). Hope you can get it back somehow! We weren't able to get his back, so we had to buy a new one... =/ All this before the price drop, too, lol. But yay for Ambassadors!Stormwatch said:Well, I'm pretty sure my 3DS was stolen from my hotel rooms in Danvers, MA this morning. I just got home from vacation and noticed that my 3DS wasn't in my bags. I called the hotel and they said the cleaning staff didn't turn it in. So, if anyone Streetpasses with DredPirateStorm in the Danvers/Salem area anytime soon, please let me know. I guess this is what I get for bringing my 3DS around with me to try and Streetpass with people...
Did you try writing Nintendo? If you or he is a long time fan and write a compelling letter Nintendo has been known to be really customer friendly and replace stuff for free, even if you can't quite prove it was stolen.Tyeforce said:Ouch, that really sucks. Seriously? I knew Nintendo costumer service was awesome, but not that awesome, lol. Eh, his grandparents offered to buy him a new one, so we just did that. We waited a few weeks to see if the police could find it, but nothing turned up.artwalknoon said:Did you try writing Nintendo? Missed this post before. You're not missing much this year, the line-up ain't so great. I'm looking forward to the Journey demonstration, I really enjoyed Flower last year. It's worth the risk of being stabbed.Murkas said:I finished the whole of Streetpass Quest using the hired mercenaries, it was not fun, lvl 2 warriors doing no damage for the second half of the game
It may be better to walk into the buildings, I'm sure the range required for Streetpassing isn't all that, added with the thick external walls as well will most likely not result in a successful connection. I thought no one had a 3DS here in Brum, but I just found that you have the most success with uni's and game stores.
Best of luck with GameCity, I actually kinda want to go there, but you know....Nottingham and all...

Wow, that is impressive. I'm sitting at around 70 miis with a few new ones each week. I need to hit up one of these conventions at some point.DTJAAAAM said:Finally met the 2,000th person in my Mii Plaza while at Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles:

Streetpass is getting a 2nd quest and more puzzles at the end of November but I don't think Nintendo will ever make it as involved as you talk about. They wouldn't want to create a game with that much detail and gameplay for free.Jintor said:I really fucking hope that Nintendo is secretly building a far more involved Streetpass RPG game somewhere behind the scenes. Imagine a single-player mons-style RPG where you collect different-coloured streetpasses for xp or leveling or equipment or something like that. It's very un-Nintendo like not to utilise a unique feature like this for something more than 'oh you passed a guy, now you can play again'.
There's a lot of gameplay opportunities here, I think...

Hm I get off at 6 on friday, I can be there by 7. Hmm this is kinda tempting.Javier said:Tags: 84

Putting this here for the record since there's going to be a major event in Santiago, Chile this Friday where Charles Martinet will do an autograph-signing session. I expect to get tons of tags there, and since it's my first time in Santiago since I got the 3DS, most of my tags should be new!
I think at some point Nintendo - or even a third party developer? - should take the next step and create advanced streetpass games for sale in the shop. Something simple enough like the adventure but with more options, armor, worlds etc... so that it could be sold for a low price to guarantee enough players.artwalknoon said:They wouldn't want to create a game with that much detail and gameplay for free.
