Yes.
You can also hire people using Coins like in Find Mii

Flower Town lets you manage your pot and garden and plant stuff and use your in game money, but you can only grow plants with streetpasses or using coins

But just looking at each community is awful because of all the "follow me please!" and "give me 50 yeahs and I'll tell you a secret!" posts. The filters are also useful for weeding out the crap, sometimes.

The amusing thing is, they stopped keeping track of how many Yeahs you had in order to stop that sort of shit. Guess there are still people who haven't noticed the change yet. :\

Even when it was just the WiiU Miiverse there were a lot of "follow me!" "give me 50 yeahs!" types of posts but ever since the 3DS update theres been a hugeeeee influx. Little kids really want to be popular. Luckily its pretty easy to avoid it.
 
So apparently, your downloads are tied to both your console AND your NNID?

I had to format my 3DS only to find out that it forgets the titles you've downloaded unless you sign back into your NNID.

Holy shit. You dodged a bullet, formatting a 3DS is usually what makes it forget you had anything at all. I guess this update saved you.

Why did you have to do that in the first place?

Yes, you are EXTREMELY lucky!!! I'm sure you could've gotten them somehow but what a pain in the ass that would have been.

Hrm. Okay I guess I have it mildly mixed up. I know someone mentioned a case where they formatted the Wii U for fuck if I know and lost their shit, maybe it isn't as bad as we thought?
 
I think according to Nintendo's updated support page, resetting/formatting a Wii U or 3DS does not destroy your NNID account. If you re-enter your NNID email and password, your previous downloads can still be accessed because it's the same system.

It seems on Wii U and now on 3DS, you must specifically choose to delete your NNID account to lose stuff.

In a sense this is actually more dangerous than other platforms. I don't think you can actually close an Apple, Sony, or Microsoft account without calling support and having them do it for you. But the end user can truly delete their entire Nintendo account themselves.

That already happened in one instance where a kid deleted his father's NNID (must have gotten the password) and thus destroyed every purchase the father had made.

Will those videos mígrate over when you do a system transfer? Also, do system transfers work like they used to as far as merging software?

Eh, they used to before that last update. I wouldn't know now as I don't have a system to transfer to and wouldn't want to try it anyways. Logic would say they carry over, as they are stored on the SD and encoded with the 3DS encryption key which is the only thing really transferred. They're just not linked to anything on the eShop anymore.

Can't know for your second question, I don't have a NNID. I think I read a report on GAF about a user merging two 3DS purchase histories by creating a NNID on the first then using it to log in on the second, claiming its purchase history. It seems there is no limit as to how many 3DS purchase histories you can link to an NNID. But don't take my word for it.

SOFTWARE IS NOT MERGED. You get to keep only one 3DS's info, the target system gets wiped before it receives the source system's data.
If you get a limited edition with a digital copy of a game, you can all Nintendo and they'll give you the download ticket though. And perhaps even let you transfer the old 3DS's data to a new system if you convince them it was a mistake, but I'm not sure, I wouldn't bet on it.

Are you sure? I got a 3DS XL with Mario Kart 7 preinstalled a while back, transferred my stuff to it, and I could still redownload Mario Kart 7.
 
So I am brand new to this 3ds thing... is this normal for an update on the system?

I am really not sure what is going on. Is there something I should know about updating this system? ( I just bought it today)
 
I've never had an error downloading anything. Try changing your wireless channel (in your router's settings). Channels 1, 6, and 11 are the three channels which don't overlap each other.

We live in an apartment (WiFi hell) and every few months my wife's notebook (furthest from the router) starts having problems connecting to our network. Changing the channel has always solved the problem.

That did the trick.. thank you. 3ds must be picky as I have a ton of devices and they have never had an issue.

Guessing this is a new thing? It wasn't this way before. Silly.
 
I managed to get the rest of those Mii games and really like them, especially Monster Manor. Is there another game planned? I noticed there is one spot open on the screen that shoes all of the games.

The empty spot is just for the Plaza gate. It activates when there's a new batch of Miis for you to welcome.

That space gets used when you have new visitors at the gate to check in, but haven't played with all of your existing ones yet.

The new game bundle was one of the best purchases I made this year. Warrior's Way is just okay, but the other three are great.

No, it's not normal for the system, but I'm having the same problems. I still can't update Mii Plaza or get into the eShop.

Why is this only affecting such a small number of users?

EDIT: Of course, the first time I try updating it after this post, it works. I guess you just need to keep trying.

? It didn't. I bought my 3DS used in 2011 and it had the free Excitebike 3D on there from the previous user. After formatting, I had no way to get it back.

When the games first came out the update would do this for most people so few people could buy the games for a week. Makes me wonder if the new update broke it again.

Does the NNID or the 3DS remember when NNID is associated with it though? What I'm getting at is if you wanted to use foreign eShops (in your region) you could do so PS Vita style where you sign into different credentials and use a different SD card (except your resticted to ones in your region). Eh, I'll just stick to not using NNID...

Am i missing something ? This was always the case even before the update. You had to specifically go into the eShop and delete your eShop account to loose your games. Just formatting the system didnt make you loose them.

So nothing has changed in that regard.

Only one NNID can be linked to a 3DS.
 
Pokemon not allowing screenshots is incredibly dumb. I was looking forward to doing a playthrough with my unopened Y version but now I'm just going to halt until they change their mind. The in-game screenshot feature is dumb, you can't even take picture of your Pokemon and it's at specific locations, not even battle. Pokemon is a game you want to take pictures with, it makes no sense.

Being able to change Miiverse region and look at some Bravely Default 3D screens is awesome.

So bad that aparently japanese people hate using 3D for games since all their screenshots are 2d =(
 
In Miiverse, it seems odd that there is no way to see the comments you've made on other people's posts. Am I missing something? I had to go back in my browser's history to find a post I'd commented on so I could see if anyone else had commented. Now I know to always "yeah" any post I'm going to comment on so I can find it easily later (in my list of "yeahed" posts).
