6IX9INE GOOBA (New song)

Maybe? I dont' really follow hip hop for the most part so I could very well be wrong.
Meh...I only listen to the music I like. Jidenna, Lupe Fiasco, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino... Even Janelle Monae and all the old school hip hop...

I don't follow celebs or recording artists like some do. If a song comes out that I like, then I'll listen and add it to my playlists... So I feel you in a way.

Yeah I guess it falls to me. Gummo was dope, 69 actually has some dope tracks. Most hip hop heads acknowledge this. His audience is mostly kids, nobody is saying he’s some lyrical sage. He just makes stuff to nod your head to and get hyped, and he’s pretty good at it. All the gang stuff and trolling just makes him that much more popular. Personally I respect his hustle. I woulda snitched too, fuck those dudes. All these dudes acting hard about snitching never faced a real charge. Everyone does it with the exception of organized crime and career criminals, even they snitch half the time. These regular street dudes have never been about that life.

If I was allowed to say Nigga out loud in public Id probably be a better rapper than this guy. He give me hope that my lack of talent has just been internalized self loathing and what I was really missing was a good producer.

The Baby from Dinosaurs is a better rapper than Tekashi
Most trap rap is nonsense. Nothing beats:

Hootie Hoo
Follow the funk from the skunk
And the dank that is crunk in the Dungeon
It goes on and on and on, like that
Going out to the Jeeps and hoes in the 'llac
Ah Suki, Suki
All day and day, any day, every damn day
I be thinking about the good ol' days when I was a whippersnapper
Used to try to get a kiss, but now it be them draws I'm after
I'm just a Southernplayalistic pimp
I used to sling a fat rock, but now I'm serving hemp
I never even smoked a gram of crack, but yo I'm dope
Mo' doper than a junkie or a Pooky cause it's on
So each one, teach one, I be claiming true
To East Point and College Park and the things I used to do

My students like this guy, and I already know that 14-year-old taste is bad, so I've never paid much attention to him.
I gave the video a listen, though, just to see it for myself.
At least in this video, he's basically just the Ying Yang Twins / Lil Jon with a bit of extra bass.

It's not bad. Certainly not good; but also not too bad.

Tom Hanks son has now weighed in to condemn 6ix9ime for snitching. As someone who spent his life on the streets I think we should respect his opinion on street cred and gang loyalty codes. Oh, he also wishes he could use the N word.

Apparently, that shark necklace cost $500,000. I can't even be mad at this guy.. what an entertaining trainwreck.
He's only worth 2.5 million dollars. Most of his earnings are around his neck and wrists.
He's a fucking sausage to be honest.
And ill say it again! He is a rent boy for the blacks.

I disagree with most of what you said here. I’ve never once heard a true hip hop head talk about him like that. As a matter of fact, most hip hop heads see him for what he is and get pissed about him constantly saying nigga. I don’t like him and I don’t respect his hustle or any of that. He basically stole Sosmula and Zillakamis style and blew up off of it. This guy becoming as popular as he is says much more about the state of hip hop than it does his skills. It’s embarrassing and he should be sitting in prison right now not out running around bragging about snitching on the people that allowed him to talk the shit that he did without repercussions. He’s a joke and I’d be shocked if he’s still alive this time next year. And no, I’m not saying I want him to die.

Fair enough, I don’t think he’s concerned about your feelings that he lacks authenticity though lol. He’ll be alive next year, nothing to fear from Instagram gangsters that dry stitch on themselves. TI and Snoop walked away from big charges and nobody batted an eye, it’s hilarious that they try to call out 69.

Most hip hop heads write him off because he doesn't write his own lyrics.

No. Nobody cares about lyricism in songs like this. This is just a lesser quality NWA basically. I put 69 in the same bracket with a bunch of dudes like Chief Keef who are just doing drill or party music. Some are legitimately street dudes, some are posers like 69, but they all serve the same market.
