I have perfect pitch and have been playing the piano since I was 4 and I still can't play like this

This guy is both extremely talented and a hard worker. But witthout perfect pitch he wouldn't be able to do this kind of magic (listening to a song once for like 30 seconds and then playing it by ear) even if he trained 16 hours a day for 50 years.

I can play most songs by ear, but I doubt I have perfect pitch. Doesn't it entail a lot more than just that?

Having perfect pitch means you can identify and re-create any note played on any instrument in existence without a note of reference.

Basically it's an effortless task when you have perfect pitch. You don't need to think about it. You just know what note it is.

Cheers for that, I guess I never really considered it that special. I started teaching myself guitar when I was like 7 or 8, I developed some bad guitar habits but also honed my ability to play by ear.
