I'm interested in Percy Jackson if only for the star. I can't remember his name off the top of my head but he was truly great in Meet Bill.

He was also in Gamer, a total guilty pleasure.

No love for Sean Bean? He looks like a better Zeus than Neeson, and though I like Neeson a bit more he looks like a homeless Santa Claus in Clash.

Frozen really getting good reviews? I don't know, I've seen the trailer playing in front of flicks for a month or so now and it looks so bad it's good. My friends and I were planning on seeing it as a joke..

Then it's a win-win situation for you and your friends :)
It's by no means perfect, but I enjoyed it. It has been well received for the most part.

It definitely has some bad moments, but I enjoyed it. It has been well received for the most part.
I guess my issue with it is that I've only seen the previews and I'm already questioning it's plausability. Why do they have no cell service when ski resorts usually have great service (in my experience)? Why are human-hungry wolves common in an area heavily populated by humans for 200 days of the year? How did the resort employee working at the top of the lift get down without seeing the skiiers? If he left before they went up, why would the lift still be running? It already seems like such a stretch to me.

For England James!

Interested in quite a few movies this month, but probably not going to see any

No love for Polanski?

I'm looking forward to Shutter Island, Ghost Writer, Prophet and White Ribbon.

Ah, didn't realize he was the Gamer kid. I think I was the only one that enjoyed that movie. It was so much better than High Voltage.

I've been waiting for Shutter Island since it was pushed back last year, can't wait!

Can we expect a new Inception trailer from SI?

Mr. Armond White loved Gamer and High Voltage. You love me.

Regarding the Red Riding trilogy, the first and third are bewitchingly good. The second—oddly, because Paddy Considine is a superb actor—is disordered and disappointing. Andrew Garfield's performance in the first is astonishing.

Cop Out for me. I like Kevin Smith movies and Tracy Morgan.
It barely counts as a Kevin Smith movie, and after listening to SModcast I'm not looking forward to this.

More like a shitty ripoff of He's Just Not that Into You which was a shitty ripoff of Love Actually

But they were both two good movies... (love actually being my favorite of the two).

God why am I sucker for these type of films =\

Going to see Shutter Island and Valentine's Day.

1. The Crazies - Romero remake for the win, though on second thought I haven't liked a remake for the past 20 years :\ Still gonna see it.

2. Cop Out - Obligatory Kevin Smith must see. Dude's never really done any action scenes, would be interesting to see how he can escape the static shot mold, plus there should be some laughs with the fucked up dialog he'd make Willis say.

3. Shutter Island - I dunno why I'm going to see this. Doesn't feel like a popcorn flick. But I like Scorsese and feel I should pay him my dues.

4. Wolfman. Looks interesting. Tired of vampires, don't really care for furries, but at least its not sparkly vamps.

Of the OP, only Shutter Island.

"Frozen", in particular, looks terrible and feature films really aren't a good medium for this sort of claustrophobic small-set character-drama driven suspense movies. *shrugs*

I'm still catching up on my Christmas Blu-Ray purchases, so no big deal if this is a slow month for me.

What did he say in SModcast about it?
He said you should see the movie (Duh!) and went on to describe the chemistry between the actors and what it was like working with john Mcclain, and went on describing how he ripped into the script and dissected shit tons of dialogue.

Nothing exciting in that list - although the Crazies looks fun. Red Riding (it was a TV show in the UK) is good and worthy, but painfully slow. I can see why it's compared to Zodiac (of which there seems to be a fair few fans of on NeoGAF).

I saw the Red Riding trilogy already, it was really good. Slow-burner though, very similar to Zodiac.

Anyways the only one I'm looking forward to watching is 'A Prophet'. I'm not a big fan of Scorcese these days so Shutter Island merely looks decent, I'll give it a watch but I'm not expecting much.

Also Ghost Writer looks alright too. Am I the only person who thinks Percy Jackson will probably be better than Clash of the Titans?. I think mah boi Mads Mikkelsen and Liam Neeson among others look pretty badass in the movie, but it looks like it's trying to be more 300 and less like a fun adventure film.
Thanks to you, now I'm definitely going to see Red riding trilogy.

Oddly enough, I'm already familiar with everything in that top eight to watch them all - mostly on DVD - but nothing will stop me from seeing Shutter Island at the cinema.

Label

The Amiga Brotherhood
Just The Wolfman and Shutter Island for myself, also tempted to go and see From Paris With Love if I can get my friends interested.

I want to see Shutter Island badly, but my girlfriend doesn't like scary movies :lol

Hadn't heard of the Red Riding Trilogy before, sounds interesting.

Dr. Strangelove

I'M COOCOO FOR COCO CRISP!
Shutter Island doesn't look terribly interesting to me, but I'll probably end up seeing it. I'll probably see A Prophet as well. Pretty much everything else listed looks like a waste of time.

its too bad for shutter island they pretty much gave away the whole movie in the trailer.

Not true at all. If you think you know the twist there is still SO much more to it. I've read the book and know everything that happens and I still can't wait to see how Scorsese handles it.

A Prophet is definitely the most interesting film of the bunch (followed by The Red Riding Trilogy).

Polanski and Scorsese are great but The Ghost Writer and Shutter Island don't seem that interesting.

Bought that flick for $2.50 last year, f'ing steal. Probably one of my favorite DTV films ever.

I went in with zero expectations and actually enjoyed it relatively speaking. It was well shot and had a pretty decent premise if a bit silly. Michael C. Hall also killed it.
