Ya

I say Tampa I live like on Dunedin Clearwater line actually its on my profile. Just accustomed to saying I am from Tampa for some odd reason.

edit, Tampa is in my profile lol. Fuck FL anyway Ughhh I wanna move.

I read OP but failed to see a motive....was anything maybe said to the two teens by the victim prior to the beating?

Edit: Just to be clear, this is clearly a horrific thing that hopefully doesn't create more tensions and incidents in the area. But still, the first thing I think of is race and age differences as to maybe there being words exchange. Purely speculation but just trying to be logical...

Nokagi edit that shit bro. Mods will go nuts.

I appreciate the heads up but I'm not going to edit myself. I don't feel like I said anything that would cross any lines and kinda no point in posting if you can't say what's really on your mind you know?(Within reason of course)

Bro, thread about dude raping a mom infront of her 10 year old. Then killed mom. Then raped 10 year old. I got banned 30 days for wishing he died in jail, so did others. Mods have a weird moral compass on this forum to say the least.

You didn't offend me in the slightest btw, I would speak my mind but I don't want the ban. Or in my case the perm.

Just seeing his picture and reading his story brought me to tears. My dad served in the Navy in WWII and died this year at age 91 (almost 92) of natural causes thankfully. Even at age 85 he would drive me to summer school in high school, he could still use his mind, up until he died. So it actually feels to me like this man died "too young" if he was like my dad, he'd still be able to talk to and love people, to play music with them, tell them stories and life lessons, care for them. I would hope that there were elderly people in these two young men's lives to love them, if so then I'd think they wouldn't dared have done what they did (if they did it, caveat noted). It's like, when I see these two teens, it'd be like if I were to learn my friends/classmates would beat up my dad after dropping me off at school.

Update:

Demetrius Glenn, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself in to police Thursday night, police said. He will appear in court Monday on charges of first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the savage assault Wednesday night on Delbert "Shorty" Belton, who was found wedged between the seats of his car in the parking lot of an Eagles lodge in North Spokane.

2nd Person still hasn't been found apparently.

Probably a robbery that went wrong. No easier target than a helpless old man. Delbert probably resisted so they attacked him. Probably didn't take much to kill the guy. Such a sad event, hope whoever did it gets some serious time and beatings in the prison yard.

Between this, the kitten killer, and Austrailian runner murder, I wonder what the hell is wrong with kids today.

Nothing....you named 3 instances of violence in a world population of 7.1 billion people. We are living in the least violent time in human history. Wanna know how to fuck that up?

By reacting to these things as an angry mob, or devaluing life.

Figure out the real causes of these things and treat that problem. Find out what has lowered crime in other parts of the world, or out what has lowered crime in cities and copy those things.

It's pretty sad that I'm in shock when I let a teen cross the street in front of me when I'm driving and they have the courtesy of waving and saying thank you.

Ending the lives of two teenagers from (probably) very troubled family backgrounds isn't going to do any good, and it isn't going to bring this man back to life.

Nor will incarcerating them for the rest of their lives either. So what do you propose the solution is?

Violent offenders, especially those capable of murder, one that is a random act of violence and not a crime of passion, rarely, if ever, are rehabilitated.

This is just an unfortunate situation and why many criminologists and those who work with juvenile offenders say we need to identify at risk youth early, so that these types of crimes/events don't happen.

These attackers will most likely get a harsh prison sentence and will probably never have the ability to be reintegrated into society.
